Maybe Kibble could extend their secure unit to cater for members of the adult community in need of care and protection from themselves.
    Criteria for care package:-
    Inflated ego trippers
    Chip on Shoulder Jealous Sorts
    Mis-conception of IQ levels
Wannabe Lawyers/Accountants/Experts in everything and anything
All day keyboard addicts with f--k all else in their lives
    Etc.
    Etc.
In fact Solitary Padded Cells would work better.
A few on here would be right at the front of the queue.
This thread displays all that is worst in debate/discussion/decision making - always those that think they are always right, better informed, it's my way or no way attitudes, and I would say it's a fairly safe bet that the majority of SMISA members don't want to read all about the personal vendettas and shit throwing going on here.
If you want to get answers, hunt down Gordon Scott, Colin Orr and Jim Gillespie and ask them directly.

Blimey, it’s hard reading through this topic. I’ve done it to try and help me come to a decision on how to vote. I’ve also watched the video of the meeting and read the original proposal.
Initially, I was a bit skeptical on SMISA having less shares than originally promised and also not knowing too much about Kibble.
So what have I gleaned from all this, well, from what I can see is that most SMISA members, like myself and my wife don’t really do much more than pay our subs and vote on the £2 spend. And we do that because we want fan ownership, to never have some fly by night come in and destroy our club. We don’t have much more input than that due to having many other commitments for our time. It seems most don’t. Which is why SMISA might struggle to find many willing and able people to run the club once fan ownership is realised.
Kibble, a local charity, look like a well run company and being a charity, I doubt will try to destroy us for their own benefit (even if that was possible with a minority share). But, as SMISA members, we would act to stop them doing so if that was the case. 51% is the magic number.
Personally, I don’t know any current board members, SMISA or otherwise. But I trust them to run our football club. Mistakes have been and will continue to be made. The same has to go for the ones Kibble would appoint. We have to trust that they will do what they think is best for SMFC as they will be a part of it (again, I reiterate, a minority part). But I do think they will at least be capable of helping to run our club, and probably bring a good level of experience and professionalism to the table.
We are all taking a leap of faith in the BtB scheme to help secure the future of our club and I for one am happy to hold hands with Kibble and leap together.

I cannot agree or disagree with anything you say because I don't have a clue  (possibly like most SMISA members but maybe I'm a minority) how the club is run day to day or what plans it has for the future. I am not up to speed with the current interests or challenges in most aspects of the club other than the bit on the park.
I can tell you who the players are and who I think is playing well and playing shite because I go to games but I've never been to a board meeting or even a SMISA meeting.
I'm just worried that without the proper expertise. If SMISA (of which I am a member) get complete control. Then the lunatics will be running the asylum.
The  volatile £2 spend discussions, the scepticism about SMISA from non SMISA Fans  and the fascination with getting it right up GS on here does not paint a pretty picture of fan ownership.
You more than anyone has been banging the Question SMISA drum.
Fan ownership is beginning to scare me more than the thought of a kibble veto. The anarchy which could be unleashed if every Shull, faraway and  st Ricky suddenly thinks they should have as big a say as the board is frightening.  No one knows how things will work if we reject Kibble. There is no plan.
The Kibble may not be ideal but we have no real leadership at present.
SMISA will still exist in any event. If it blunders on for another 5 years without kibble, I suppose it means we can keep the GS is Cnut threads running and keep spending our £2 pot on stuff non smisa folk don't want and keep fantasising and scheming about how we can wrestle 300K from GS because he should have gone under if Gilmour had been more prudent.
Every cloud has a silver lining.
    Still undecided.

    FFS
Judging by those against Gordon Scott, He will only be forgiven if he gifts his 300k worth of shares, the £300k he stood to lose because allegedly, according to reports on here, he was shafted by the last board and Btb  which most of his critics signed up for was the only way to recoup his cash. Did you not all sign up to pay him back???? Whilst saving the club.
Then there is TF who by his own admission got shafted by Livingston and lost his company in the last business deal he thought was a good idea.
On past deals we have two directors already who don't have very good track records.
So GS and TF have come up with another idea. Have they learned from past experience and really carried out the due diligence on this one. The SMISA Committee Think so.
So if SMISA committee follow in the footsteps of GS and TF and we get shafted again it would just prove how inept St Mirren as an entity are. Do we have any business acumen at our disposal at all?
Maybe The kibble could provide that.
Just from the stuff I have read on here and other social Media sites Btb is chasing a dream of fan ownership without any idea of how it could work. Even Colin at the meeting said we still thought we had another 5 Years to work it out. What kind of plan is that.
If we had 71% of the club guys like LPM and Dicko would probably have influence over Veto's and decisions while Cockles and Brazil would go to war with them. Starti would through the toys out the pram, POD would crack a joke and EK bud would resign. No disrespect guys.nothing personal substitute any Fans  name you want.
Maybe the Kibble will bring some much needed leadership to the table as well as some business acumen.
    Just a thought.

Yeah, sorry, I’m not sure where I got the idea that you didn’t like Gordon Scott from. I’ll take that back 😂
As far as I can see the SMiSA committee are asking the members to decide on the proposal. If the members don’t back it, then it doesn’t happen.
I think this is called democracy.
The committee believe this proposal enhances BTB. It’s up to the members to decide if they agree or not.
That’s how this is supposed to work.

Let’s not forget that Kibble are also saving SMiSA members £300K, an average of £250 a head.
We probably also shouldn’t overlook the fact that as 51% shareholders, SMiSA will have the majority shareholding of the football club, and thus the football club will be, by definition, “fan owned”. By the end of next year.
And its maybe worthwhile remembering that we get the benefit of the expertise and infrastructure of a 140 year old organisation who have a turnover 10 times the size of the club, working with us.
And we get all of this, with a partner who is not driven by profit, but rather one that exists to help young people develop and prosper.
Blind? Blinded by a personal grudge with the chairman I’d say.

For me I’m sticking to No.
I have nothing against Kibble I think they do grand work but the total fan ownership model remains for me the best solution.
As I have said before I think I’m going to be in the minority  but I will continue my support of SMISA anyway - no toys out pram cancellation for me.

What's that got to do with the price of chicken?
They will both be employees of Kibble and duty bound to do their best for that organisation, and if Kibble are shareholders in St Mirren, then SMFC as well.

The way some folk are going on you'd think kibble are some spectre like organisation, about to execute their evil plan to take st mirren for every penny and ultimately close us down.

The fact that the people getting hysterical are either trolls, people who werent there last night or have an agenda against smisa GLS or kibble is very telling. Why not watch the video when it comes out? Contact smisa? Do something other than constantly soiling your knickers over every doomsday scenario

Lots of questions being asked. If folk are so concerned about the Club's future why did they not join SMiSA and ask questions last night instead of asking on here where contributers are not in a position to answer?

This thread is a waste of time looking for answers. Last night was the opportunity.

The shares Kibble are buying belong to Gordon Scott. In what way is that a "budgeted asset" 😂
That's kind of the way it works, yeah. Same as you don't get any say on who owns ASDA just because you do your shopping there every week 😂

    I wasn't at the meeting. But.....PANIC!!! We're DOOMED
Honestly that's knicker wetting in the extreme. I have respect for someone who was there or who waits watches the video, then says. No I don't like it because.... But the level of knicker wetting, probably brought on by the usual trolls, is ridiculous. Some people need to just log off and have a wee lie down.

Everyone had the option to sign up. That only 1300 or so chose to do so or continue to do so is just the way it is.  It's pretty much how FPTP is reflected at elections. If you feel so strongly then why not join to register your vote. A bit like those who don't vote in a GE then moan about the outcome you don't really have a leg to stand on. Those that choose to pay will get to make the decision and that is 100% the way it should be.

Div wants everyone to review the facts of the proposal and to make their own minds up about what way to vote.
Div doesn't mind if the proposal is defeated or accepted.
Either way Div will be a SMiSA member for ever more.
    Div doesn't do walking away.
Don't speak for Div thank you very much, Div can do it for himself.
ps; Let's not forget that Div is giving you the public platform to absolutely slate the Kibble, SMiSA, the club, the board and the chairman. I'm all for free speech.
