Just watched the " Bubble Didnae Burst" again on utube. I see similarities with this season. We were far from favourites for promotion that year - I was at many of those matches and recall McKnights goal.
I cannot wait for tomorrow. Regardless of the result, it will be another fantastic day.

I think there’s a lot of interest from fans in anything that betters the stadium we frequent every second week. Filling in corners, erecting TVs showing Sky Sports in concourses, brightening up the breezeblock, cleaning the seats, a bigger scoreboard, ‘Hibs style’ adverts in the corners, upgraded disabled facilities.... and more. All these have been discussed in general terms.
Fans are interested in the spaces we sit in and visit, and, IMHO, would like to see more ‘character’ around the joint. Whether SMiSA funds is the way to achieve any of it is for others to decide. I certainly don’t think SMiSA funds were required to update the HoF boards. We are going back to the days when SG and Co were still running the place, and the boards first required updating. We really are talking about four-plus years now? Selling advertising space and kicking JD off them would have paid for the required new boards, not SMiSA members funds.

It would be great to have the same sort of murals around the stadium for the fans to enjoy - replacing the JD Sports murals for example. But unfortunately there is no source of income to do so.

Cairters_Corner got a reaction from StuD in The 3 Monthly Spend
Did the club explore funding options for the Ralston pitch before approaching SMISA or are we seen now as a ‘cash cow’? I voted against the proposal as I believe the ring-fenced money should remain as such- for share purchase.
The club’s current turnover is around 2.6m. I would be interested to know what plans the club have to increase this. The only potential capital investment plan I have heard of, which is under consideration, is filling in one of the corners. Increasing the club’s corporate and hospitality areas I would imagine would be included in this proposal.

Sour grapes? Beeeeeeeeeeeecause? I was on the SMISA board, I resigned. I actually stood up, offered my time, enabled some community engagement and received praise for it. Exactly why would I have sour grapes?

I voted NO on this because I saw it as simply passing £50K to the club - dressed up as an astroturf project which would go ahead anyway and should be included in a ‘living within our means’ policy.
Perhaps SMISA should have been more honest and said we were donating to the player’s budget.
I have asked lots of friends and relatives how they voted and the ‘all’ said they opened the email clicked on the vote and voted YES because the trusted the committee.
You can argue that that’s democracy bud but I remain disappointed in the committee’s handling of the proposal.

Just to say well done, you played us on the last day of the season to get a draw to keep you up last season and since we had won the league a few weeks before you were probably happier than us that day.
Glad things are different this year on the last day, you are back where you belong IMO. That is getting beat by better teams like us
See you next season

660! The game's a bogey, end the £2 pot and just have the money going straight to the club. I wonder what the 597 others have been up to the past wee while. 660 is well down on previous votes, you can only imagine the vast majority of the 597 approve also.

If i'm being bitter, so be it.
I honestly can't believe it's went that way. I look forward to hearing how smisa consider the funds to be remaining ring fenced. All I can see is they've won the vote on club before business, which is understandable.
That's me out though, I hope everything I've put in only goes to share purchase.

Basically, against Meadowbank, we should play our biggest and strongest 11.
Otherwise we are getting booted right off the park.

The useless Greenock mutants won’t sell 500 never mind 1000.
They should be shunted into the corner of the north stand with a Temporary segregation barrier and stewards so that more saints fans can attend. The old firm can do it so surely we could too. I suspect that won’t happen as the cops and the club will say no.

Bottom line is the club needs the money to repair the astro turf.
The reason SMISA signed up with Gordon Scott to finance the takeover was because a) he had the cash available to do it AND b ) he was seen as a successful business man that was going to use his acumen to bring about new ideas for increasing the income of the club.
this he has quite clearly FAILED , hence the constant requests for monies from SMISA.
As the second largest shareholder and future custodians of the club , SMISA should looking at the club accounts before parting with any monies.

There is a lack of good conference space around the airport and this is where Brian caldwell wanted to spend some money and draw in some serious revenue. The hospitality suite doesn't get enough of that business because of the shape of the room and lack of flexibilty in the layout. Purpose built conference facilites that can double as additional hospitality if and when needed would be a good idea.
A big drawback would be the caterers, the current mob would drive conference business away rather than cultivate it.

The club are already looking at filling in one of the conrners with offices etc. Additional hospitality spaces could be an option too.
Would like the club to fill in the remaining corners with large advertising boards, similar to Easter Road.

So, the SMISA board are proposing that £50,000 of the ring-fenced funds members have been paying in to Buy The Buds be gifted to SMFC and are then going to use the same member's £2 spend to pay that money back into the ring-fence? GTF outta here!
There would need to be a vote at a GM to change the agreement first, to not have that stinks...
This ^^^^ plus our Quarterly spend will no longer be available for 2 1/2 years. What will the Club do now for their future 'requests'?
Dip into the 'ring-fenced' funds again and again until we cannot actually But The Buds when the time comes?
I voted NO.
