If I never had a family to support I would be off ski, John Rambo style, I would find all these (verynicepeopleimnottosayabadwordagainst) and help in the cause of stopping nice families out for a good night getting gunned down.. Are you in the police? The pc gives the game away? Have you got a gun? Is it a speed gun? How many fines have you collected with that, sorry I mean how many lives gave you saved with that?

There was a slight spelling mistake writing do instead of so.

I did not write we're.

No I am not muslim.

It's ok, I worked out what you meant. I feel really bad about the way I posted what I did, writing things in text and saying what you mean to somebody is a whole different ball game.. Again, I apologise for that

Yes I am a police officer and I don't hide that.

I don't carry a gun of either description and have no wish to carry either.

I have saved lives and dealt with many horrific situations.

Thankfully it has taught me not to be so judgemental.

Is your second name cabe? Trouble is, most people know me as loomo, so I am not hiding behind a wee name, if people make mistakes then they should be able to rectify them.

No mate I joined this forum when the Saints were playing my club Beith Juniors in a benefit match for our captain who was off work for a year with a bad injury.

Cabes is our club's nickname from the Cabinet making industry our town was famous for back in the day.

I'm sure it will be proved Isis infiltrated the migrant movement which has always been a fear with European governments. If this proves to be the case we can expect far more of these attacks across Europe. Also think this will be a game changer where we will see France maybe other European countries , certainly the UK will get more involved in the middle east if proven to be ISIS.You cant begin to comprehend people in Paris out enjoying a Friday night only to be slaughtered. Many young people at a concert caught up in a slaughter blood bath.

You're sure???

Based on what intelligence may I ask?

Another scaremongering idiot!

Yeah your probably right, bit harsh on Muslims and I apologise, I am not a racist and should read what I type.

I'll carry on watching innocent people getting slayed, gunned down, tortured and keep quiet..sorry if I have offended anyone, was never my intention..

You certainly ARE a racist.

This has absolutely f**k all to do with Muslims in the same way that the the troubles in Ireland weren't anything to do with Catholics or Protestants.

I simply can't believe the lack of basic education from people like you.

10 to 14 years of some of the best free schooling in the world and THIS is what results?

You are an embarassment.

Lets look at the facts known

1 Syrian passport found on one of the gunmen.

2 Gunmen all dressed in black from head to foot pointing their guns from the shoulder in short busts.

That points to highly trained while the dress code is Isis.

Edit to add

Isis has now claimed responsibility and that more are attacks will take place.

Lord P you do realise you are known through out the forum as the village idiot who is on ignore with many forum members. So you want to seer a first class idiot have a wee look in the mirror ya dafftie

Nice try at deflection, but you said "I'm sure it will be proved Isis infiltrated the migrant movement"....

I am sure the french intelligence agencies would welcome your sources of intelligence on this "Surity" you profess.

Why on earth would they do that when they can recruit citizens who were born in the UK, France and US so easily?

They are easily recruiting people of all colours, background and nationality so why are you focussed on migrants?

The question is why anyone is surprised by these sorts of incidents anymore.
Are we really trying to say that we still don't the environment which creates this and what part we've played in it?
Is our free education system teaching us literally nothing?
You can be absolutely certain that someone will publish the word "evil" regarding what happened last night.
Someone else will publish a link to the issue of migrants.
Another will publish links to Islam and Muslims.
It's all as inevitable as it is depressing.

It's definitely most likely that the terrorists were French citizens. Just like the 7/7 bombers were British.

However it would also be pretty naive to assume that none of the hundreds of thousands of refugees who have entered Europe this year are extremists. Indeed ISIS have said that they are sending Jihadis to Europe posing as refugees. How can you tell the difference between a refugee and a terrorist? Simple, you can't.

The sad and scary reality is that there isn't much the European governments and security agencies can do to stop things like this. These are European citizens with European passports with as much right to live here as anyone else.

They then become radicalised either online or in mosques. They then get armed and cause death to innocent people and destruction to civilised society. Of course the security forces can stop some attacks through intelligence gathering, but the terrorists just need one to slip through the net, as this one has. You can't watch everyone all the time.

There's no realistic solution to it.

And you can be absolutely certain that some bleeding heart Socialist will attempt to blame "the west" for what happened last night. Oh you've done that already.....

There is no excuse for what happened last night and it's not over dramatic to say that it could have happened at any football match, in any restaurant, in any bar or at any concert hall. I don't have any idea how we stop it but I know damned well that I'm not to blame for the cowardice of a terrorist no matter how much you and your ilk try to pass the responsibility to suit your agenda

Yes I still think it will be proved that Isis infiltrated the migrant movement to get into Europe.

That is based on opinion from myself for reasons I have posted.

Britain has the blood of many on its hands.

Even a brain dead Tory can see that.

Only narrow minded would point to blaming Muslims. Its radical fanatics that is to blame a cancer that kills children , rapes woman , beheads fellow Muslims in Syria and else where.

Looking back what the west did or did not do will not fix this problem IT is deep rooted and needs eradicated.

You're wasting your time trying to engage numbnuts in a sensible debate, PCC, he'll only ignore the 'difficult' (for him to respond to) parts of your argument and deflect onto something else entirely. Years of experience of it, that's why I don't engage with him/her anymore.

I'm sorry but I have a really low tolerance threshold for stupidity.

Where exactly did I say the West was to blame?

The point is the West is still doing it.

We have Uncle Sam thinking it is the world's policeman and its lapdog Britain carrying out their bidding.

I was on a tube train in London last week and I saw a guy with beads in his hands praying, I must admit I was looking for bulges around his waste and looking to see if he was wearing a rucksack, the guy was black but I don't believe it to be racist to think like this, just a fact of life of working in London.

David Cameron was on the other night making statements on the killing of Jihadi John, this makes britain a target for isis terrorists so the chances of something like Paris happening in London are very strong.

Thankfully our intelligence services are better than the french so these maniacs have a better chance of getting caught before executing these terrible acts.

You are wrong.

It's not as deep rooted as you believe or we'd be seeing our football stadiums, railway stations etc bombed every single day of the week.

It's a small minority who are doing this and it's a combination of social isolation and radicalisation offering vulnerable people a way of fighting back, all fueled by social division.

For these people it's essentially death by a million cuts and we continually hear about social exclusion and isolation, people then retreating to the web and finding answers there. We hear this repeatedly and yet this message doesn't seem to be getting through to enough people who can do something about it.

Some evidence for this?

Well the problem first sprang up within the muslim communities.

Communities would refuse to engage with police to tell them of potential problems hence a breeding ground for terrorism was allowed to go unhindered.

We have some people intelligent enough to understand how to begin fixing this.

This is how they did it.

They started by asking why a muslim community would spring up in the first place.

By talking to muslim immigrants they realised that our general population wasn't the most welcoming in the 50's and 60's for those of black and asian origin.

In the face of racism they built their own communities.

Inherent racism within the police meant they trusted neither the authorities nor the general indigenous population at large.

Instead they formed tight knit networks and looked after themselves and their own - fiercely protecting each other.

The next series of generations of muslims, like our indigenous population decided enough was enough, got angry and got active.

First it was raising their voices, then it was riots in the 1980's etc.

Then along came religious leaders who had found a "just cause" in what was happening in the middle east.

They targetted those who were vulnerable, those who had been racially abused and bullied mercilessly - those who saw no hope for themselves and no decent future.

And they offered them a vision of greatness.

We see this murder as something beyond description but actually the phrase "the banality of evil" better captures it (although I don't like the word evil).

The way to stop this is easy to explain. It's done through acceptance of others and integration of society.

All attempts to divide must be resisted at all levels, from government right down to mates talking in the pub.

Division is the fertile breeding ground from which these sorts of acts become a consequence.

On a positive note, people from all walks of society have been working together for years to try and fix this problem amongst disaffected parts of the country.

The muslim community is better treated now than it used to be and in turn they are now less willing to protect their own people from acts of extremism.

This is the only way forwards.

Maybe France has further to go in that respect.
