Listen to the pro union parties. It's the other way around. All we get from unionists is SNP bad and blame them for everything

And the exact same from the SNP, blaming the UK government for everything despite having complete control in Scotland for years and making little progress hence the reason it's looking like they will get their just desserts in a couple of weeks.

Do the SNP still advocate for returning to the EU? The U.K. is turning left while the EU countries are turning right.

I don't believe the new labour party is left wing, in fact they chose to NOT contest a seat in Scotland in the hope that the tory candidate would take it, and those countries that are unbelievably turning to the extreme right will no doubt do the same as the UK did and leave the EU to their detriment. I hope this is a very temporary stage as I fear for the entire world if it continues.

ETA I would say that England is lurching to the right

As it stands, we need an expansive market and, like it or not, we have one right on our doorstep which we were force to put unnecessary barriers on so YES it still makes sense to ensure we have free use of this fantastic opportunity.

Yet more deflection, this is why the SNP are losing support. Covid is now a catch all for every possible scenario. The waiting lists were massive before 2020. Covid hasn’t helped but I just wish a politician would take some responsibility.

The waiting lists in ALL parts of the UK are at an all time high, Partly due to Covid. I believe you've only covered part of the reply from Sweeney. Typical and expected.

Oh come on! You have used this thread as a party political broadcast for the SNP over the last month and you now can’t defend there leaders comments on a devolved issue.

I have used this thread as a platform for independence.

I'm not trying to defend the SNP. I am telling you that, though devolved, the NHS still requires funding. That funding is driven by the pocket money the UK gives Scotland. PLUS a bit MORE raised by the progressive tax revenue the SNP have delivered.

I have already indicated in this thread that I am not certain  to vote for them in the upcoming Hollyrood election as I don't agree with all they've done while in "power".

The election now in progress is for a UK government. My vote will ALWAYS be for a pro national party. The ONLY one capable of delivering a majority of pro national MPs IS the SNP. If/when we get the right due to us by way of the previous TWO elections to decide our future I hope we grasp it with both hands. Then we can decide, in Scotland, for Scotland, the type of party we want to lead us.

You're point being?

The only thing this proves is that Starmer has no principals and can't be trusted. His thirst for power outweighs any political leaning he claimed to have. As far as Labour principals are concerned, he's thrown the baby out with the bathwater, followed by the bath.

This election was never going to favour the SNP anyone with a bit of knowledge will know that. Brexit is not on the menu this time neither is independence or a referendum as both masters have said the Scots will do as there told no matter that they voted in a Scottish Government to have one.

This election is all about getting rid of this disastrous Tory government

Of course that won't stop the media portraying it as the end of independence as well as fartaway Albion the right winger

2026 Scottish election will be a different ball game

Stopped reading after that.

That doesn't surprise me you've never been comfortable with the truth facts or reality

So before you start wetting yourself at the downfall of the independence movement look back to the General Election 2010 before this shit show that the Tories have created {Brexit etc,}  the SNP share or the Scottish electorate was 19%. and won 6 seats so judge it against that., and in this union would it actually make any difference if they won all 59 seats at Westminster

My prediction is the SNP will win about 15 seats, 59 or 15 does it really matter we get who England votes for, this time it's Starmer and Labour.

Our own parliament elections in 2026 is when the people of Scotland can make their choice on Scotland's future, and hopefully they will.

Oh, you mean the reality that Livingston were a hard nut to crack?

You're well known for making bizarre statements so, if you don't mind, I'll look for my information elsewhere.

I'm not wetting myself over anything, I've already stated that I don't get in a mess, like you and a few others, what happens on Thursday.

I take responsibility for my life, not whining about whoever happens to be in Westminster, or Holyrood.

Aye, 2026, another couple of years of seeth. :jerrry

PS It's looking like I might be voting for the SNP guy up here as he seems to be the best guy for the job.

Not right wing, just right up until now. If you think that standing against liberal fascism is right wing then I suggest you don’t know much about politics.
