It happens at almost every game, even up here in Arbroath so your suggestion just simply wouldn' work.

It's become the "in thing", not easy to stop at source (searching before entry) due to numbers and lack of resources.

My granddaughter narrowly missed getting hit by one 3 or 4 weeks ago, an 11 year old, mainly coming from drink fuelled teenagers/early 20's who, simply, don't give a feck.

Not sure what the answer is TBH but it's a fecking real danger IMO.

I really don't understand why it's so hard to prosecute and arrest folk that do this.

Stadiums have cracking CCTV. You need a ticket and are assigned a seat and have to provide your address and bank details to get a ticket.

Surely the police in the stadium can look at CCTV and who's thrown the flair and make an arrest?

Maybe harder than you think as, after they are set off, you can hardly see anything.

Newcastle 3-1 Southampton, watched most of the 2nd half, Newcastle were all over them after being 0-1 at half time.

Great entertainment.

Think that more or less confirms Newcastle's champions league spot although not mathematically certain yet.

They have a reasonable set of fixtures, 3 "easy" games and 2 "difficult" games, the plus point for Newcastle is the tough games, Arsenal and Brighton, are at home.

Credit to the owners, the manager and players.

While they have spent a few bob, as most teams do in the top league, they haven't gone for big names who might not be as hungry and it's working.
