Smithers Jones
Much more like us today. Some terrific performances which is encouraging. Only down sides for me were - O'Hara just needs to do things quicker, and I still have no idea where James Scott is supposed to be playing, what his role is or what he brings to the team. Other than that, great to see our counter attacks back again and a big load of that was down to Olusanya who gave them all sorts of problems from start to finish. 6 points this week please. Rangers rested a number of players and they were awful, we won't get a better chance than we had today to get something from there, Both goals were avoidable as usual, Alex scored from a corner and Toyosi gave them a tough time but did we actually test Butland, I honestly can't remember him making a save. Hopefully the players take a bit of confidence that we didn't get battered, we could and should've taken points off them today We need to be better on Wednesday defence and attack as today's performance IMO won't be good enough. Very unfair and classing a Rangers team as poorly detracts from our performance. This Rangers, have had two very good results in Europe and, while no works beaters, are not that bad and will, IMO, end up second in the league. Anyhow, a step in the right direction, annoying we didn't get something and the next two games are important and I'm still confide we'll get a decent return from these games

I think they could possibly beat a few works teams. 😂

We should have took something they were rotten, I bet Rangers don't play that team against Aberdeen, if they do Aberdeen will beat them easily. Let's be honest we all feared we'd probably get a doing yesterday, but that team Rangers put out yesterday wouldn't have battered anyone in this league we should have made them pay, I don't think the team had believe they could beat them. If Rangers had got their compulsory penalty and Cerny who should have scored late on and made it 4-1 would we be saying we played well The next 2 games are massive for us, We actually have the best squad of players since the 1980s IMO If we play well on Wednesday and we will need to I'm confident we will win and get back on track,

There is no McGinn in the middle either and we don't have a decent wide player in the squad. I'd also cite the goalie's deficiencies and the lack of decent partners for Gogic as being a strong indicator that the squad is not as strong as some in the last 20 years

The 2013 squad was good but got relegated the following season, it's just my opinion Ken. Our squad last year was probably stronger with Strain Baccus Kwon Bolton Hemming if you want to break in down to seasons but I was actually meaning the Squad that Robo has built including last years. Quite sure we could all pick a squad of 22 players over the last 35 years and none of the current squad would get in it.

Only problem is that with the current model, the squad changes so much from season to season you can't really pin down a side over more than 2-3 transfer windows as being a settled squad that is identifiable as a group. Even last season, we still seemed to be relying on players who were at their physical limit and picking up lengthy injuries more from over exertion than from bad tackling. I'm pretty sure we won the league cup in 2013, managed 8th the following season still under Danny Lennon and got relegated the following season after that following the debacle of player unrest and the appointment of Craig, with a couple of key players passing the tail end of their peak Edited October 29 by beyond our ken
