lovestreet Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 dont know much about him but his cv looks pretty good...nice bit of business well done Gus...and the guy on here says past it? he is only 31. Quote
bluto Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Easy access to Easyjet flights for travel home and to visit his Uncle Bosman was the clincher, allegedly. A recognised left back with experience is a good signing, currently. Quote

Dan Is The Man Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 I used to love watching Leeds when he was there with Alan Smith, Michael Bridges, Lee Bowyer, Harry kewel, Rio ferdinand and himself. Excellent team even reaching the latter stages of the champions league but i also remember him being there main free kick taker and being absolutely phenomenal at it as well. Champions League and International experience would be an absolutely excellent bit of business by Gus to get him. Quote
jazza Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Apparently Clyde 1 has confirmed it. Quote
Wilbur Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Every new signing represents a risk, and some risks (including this one) are greater than others. For every Andy Dorman there are probably ten Christopher Wrehs. Unfortunately, if you don't take any risks in life you'll never achieve greatness. If he's still got what it takes, he'll be a great signing. Either way (hero or dud), he'll probably be gone at the end of the season, either to a 'bigger fish' or to the knacker's yard. It feels good to know that our club is now in a suitable financial position to be able to take a chance with a guy like Harte. Quote
Herbie Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Absolutely brilliant signing. Still nothing on the OS though. Quote

billyg Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Absolutely brilliant signing. Apparently he chose to leave Blackpool , although he played in their last five matches , including a draw v Wolves and a victory over Brum ! So it would appear that he's fully fit and ready to go ! Quote
simon templar Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Could be a great signing... If only for his free-kick taking ability, cos ours are f**king shite at the moment... Let's hope he can take corners as well... Quote
davidg Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 I would imagine he will start on Saturday. Quote
kevo_smfc Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Apparently he chose to leave Blackpool , although he played in their last five matches , including a draw v Wolves and a victory over Brum ! So it would appear that he's fully fit and ready to go ! Seems as though he was brought in on a short term deal with Blackpool to cover injuries in that position. Excellent bit of business and probably Gus' highest profile signing yet. Quote

After all, they've got... er.... Charlie Adam. Quote
billyg Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Was he not just on as Sub..? No , he started the last five games , one of them was a FA cup tie defeat v non-league Torquay ! Quote

bluto Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Bud Neil cartoons? Lobby Dosser etc...? The many other bizarre characters? sigh... Fairy Nuff Quote
2becks Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Poor signing IMHO. The guy's hardly played any champions league football. And ONLY 64 international caps? What can he possibly bring to the team? I'm now absolutly gutted that we didn't get Twaddle from Thistle. Quote
