Had just read his comments and then Im confronted by the man himself outside the stadium! Spooky! On a happier note, I was pleased to see John Robertson take time to congratulate every St Mirren player coming off the park after the game. Showed some class compared  to some managers and their assistants Ive seen over the last couple of seasons.
 

Davies in today's paper claiming he's never been taken for another big job because of a smear campaign, then outs himself as a total bellend. He wanted the Hearts job with the caveat that it removed 3 other people from theirs, including Austin McPhee and Jon Daly to be placed back to the U20s 'where he should be'.
Then in the next breath, says that the likes of Hearts, St. Mirren and Dundee Utd jobs are 'beneath him' and he'd never take on any role.

Thought we were poor for first 70 mins not working hard enough closing down or finding space . Last 20 we showed our quality going forward stepped it up and scored some great goals. It is a good sign that we played far from our best and still won,  if we can tighten up at back and keep all our forward players here and fit  we shoiuld be there or there abouts at the end of the season. Next week is massive hope we keep the feel good factor going.

If we can win games by scoring goals even when we're rotten at the back then the league is ours for the taking. ICT were through one on one on Sammy 5 times in the match and notched on two of those occasions. Getting Davis back in as organiser can't come quick enough.

I think we're looking good for this one. Lewis Morgan was missing from the game Vs Heart Colts, but played in a properly tough fixture against Netherlands U21s and put in yet another Man of the Match performance. Another big boost to his confidence that allows him to maintain the teriffic momentum he's built up so far this season. In the less competitive game our first team played at the weekend, our main striker got himself a couple of nice goals.
Things are bubbling away nicely at the moment. In the past I'd have had that feeling in the pit of my stomach, that this would be where we'd come off the rails. But I think this group, players and staff together, have a different attitude, a confidence that we WILL win games and NO-ONE will get an easy 3 points when visiting St Mirren Park. 
We've all seen us play well for periods and then choke or just about scrape through on the big occasions, but that seems to have changed recently. Ayr was a massive game, should have been a nervy day...6-2. Raith came knowing a win would effectively save them, should have been tense...5-0. I believe this team has the mental strength to deal with the big games, add to that the technical ability of the players and the strength in depth we'll have when everyone's fit, and I think this could be a special season.
I don't do predictions, but I'll be disapointed with anything other than a win, and won't be surprised if we're pretty dominant. Even against a side who've been a bogey team for us so far in their short history.

If Oliver Burke is worth £15M then GLS should be looking fordouble that amount for the wee man.
The two most influential players on the park were Lewis and Stevie.  Scotland had two shots in the first half - both by Lewis. The only time a full back was taken on and beaten with a good ball into the box - Lewis again. Every corner from the left was whipped in by Stevie and every free kick was by Stevie.
Scotland were playing a long ball game so the midfield was often passed by.
Second half was a bit better football wise with Lewis getting fouled by their full back as he constantly zoomed past him (but Stevie got booked for coming to Lewis's aid ) .  But Lewis got half a dozen good cut backs into the box with no takers. Burke scores from a Stevie corner and Stevie smashes in the second. The only Championship player in the team was named MoM.

Agree 100% I love the fact we are are winning but it's the way we are playing that makes it so enjoyable. After years of pretty poor stuff the last 6 or 7 months have been a breath of fresh air, can't wait Saturday to Saturday now. I think the morton game was just a blip coupled with that wee scroat collum refereeing. Dont get me wrong there is still areas we can improve and i am not getting carried away but as long as we are in the mix i will be happy. My biggest concern is how long we will keep hold of of morgan though if we lose him it will be devastating blow he will have a good career whatever happens hope he realises seeing out the season here is not a bad thing!

I said after the match that for me this was the most complete performance from a Saints side in say the last five years and those around me all agreed.Offensively and defensively we were excellent and the 3-4-3 formation was brilliant.Not one failure in the side but obviously Morgan was absolutely devastating.His ball control on either foot is exceptional and has electrifying pace. I have to say that I continue to marvel at Cammy Smith he is a top top player and why McInnes let him leave the Dons totally baffles me.Finally Gavin Reilly just continues to impress me.I always thought he was a player since I first saw him in a friendly at Dumfries a few years ago I think he was only around 18 at the time.Good times ahead.

The most frustrating thing for me is that the media especially BBC Radio Scotland, barely give our game or more especially our performance a mention, more interested in St Johnstone's paint drying defensive display at Sellic Park. God help Scottish Football if this kind of defensive dross merits the number 1 comments in the media, no wonder Scottish Football is in the mess it's in. God bless St Mirren.

We were an absolute pleasure to watch yesterday and if we can maintain that form for most of the season we'll win the league, there isn't any team we should fear.

The pace and movement of Smith, Morgan and Reilly would terrorise any defence.

The way Jack had the team set up ensured nobody was isolated and the forwards were given plenty of support.

Was not expecting that, superb result especially as being down to ten men. What a fecking weird team we are, great opening day result then crap against our rivals not much better against an amateur team Tuesday night then we come out and pump an in form livi away from home with ten men. I guess that is why we follow the buddies!
