The fans will respond and react to what they see happening on the pitch. I've witnessed noise in the West Stand that was deafening when we beat Celtic 4-0, knocked them out the Scottish Cup and beat Rangers on Xmas Eve. The stadium is often criticised for causing the poor atmosphere but the reality is that it's what's happening on the park that is the root cause.
The fans at home CAN be unreasonable though. There are individuals who we all hear every home game who go out their way to be negative and who simply can't wait to berate our own team. That has been true for all the years I've been supporting Saints, and I guess it's most likely true of every club in the land.
I've never really understood it, but i actually think some of our fans ENJOY being negative. I guess it's their outlet after a shite week at work or whatever.

What possible difference does it make if Ian Murray works on transfers, re signings, etc over the phone from
Paisley or wherever it is that he's on holiday?
I remember reading that Rangers (now in liquidation) signed Paul Gascogne while Walter Smith was on holiday.

Mark Howard got a lot of stick from our all knowing support yet I always felt there was a good keeper in there.

I think some of us forget just how young some of these players are and just how difficult a situation they've been through this season, having to firstly cope with a halfwit for a manager followed by a manager with no experience at all, who appears to have very average managerial abilities.
TBH it's quite sad to see adults in their 40's and 50's posting vitriolic criticism of young boys just starting out in their careers.

I don't think our younger players have done that badly this season .
I think they've been let down by the so called experienced ones .
Too much pressure has been heaped on them very early in their careers .
Next season they will now have this bad experience to look back on , and will hopefully be wiser for it .

The difference is McLean has ability, Cheesy doesn't. Hate to say it as he's an honest big player but he isn't good enough.

So if I've got this right, TC wafted four names on a bit of paper, so we can relax safe in the knowledge he was on top of identifying signing targets.
Strip sales are on a par with previous seasons, so we can relax safe in the knowledge that the current kit is well liked and sales figures reflect this.
We have Plummer and Tess, so we can relax safe in the knowledge that we are well sorted in the CB positions.
There are no plans to kit out the void as a supporters bar, so we can relax safe in the knowledge that Paisley pubs will not lose out on valuable revenue.
No airlines were interested in an advert on the dome (the facility, not Jim Goodwin's napper), so we can relax safe in the knowledge we aren't missing anything if we fail to get a windae' seat on our holibobs.

Judge him without the injuries? His record as a No1 at all clubs where he performed the No1 role has been shite. All clubs have injuries.
He's never a manager any more than I'm likely to trouble Rory McIlroy's position on the world ranking chart. I can however swing a golf club, hit some decent shots, and sink the odd putt.... I'm still shite though.
