I was there, yeah. As I say, I saw a decent performance from a side who wouldn't let their heads go down after being screwed over twice in a couple of minutes. I was also at Firhill a fortnight ago when the performance was almost as bad as anything else we've turned in all season and we capitulated in the second half. I simply can't bring myself to judge the guy on his last 4 games when the bigger picture has resulted in failure.
The season we signed Teale, Thommo, Hasselbaink and Tesselaar and they absolutely rode Aberdeen in the second game of the season, I felt that was the start of something exciting.

Firstly the money is being requested by the supporters for their own benefit. The club is not requesting the funds.
Secondly it is hardly a cash grab when they are competing with over 3200 organisations to get £25,000 of tax deductible money from an organisation that made £1billion profit last year.
The club meets its legal requirements with regards the accessibility for disabled supporters. Its just that they obviously never considered any worth to meet those requirements nor do they have a desire to rectify the deficiency. (that is a separate issue that the club should be requested to answer) It is obvious and rather unfortunate that if the wheelchair bound supporters want to improve their own experience at the club then they have to do it themselves.
Rather than have some morals and common decency and support their cause or write to the club on their behalf to register your disgust, you would rather come on her and tell everyone else that they are not a worthy cause and that you would rather donate the money to another charity.
Well done to the group of fans for taking the initiative. They have my vote and good luck to them.

Stud while I agree that at the time of the construction the club should have constructed better facilities for the disabled fans however they didn't. The fact that they never considered them then it's unlikely that they would consider them now. That's the only bit I agree with you on your point the remainder of it is straight from a man with no morals and who wishes to play God on who should be the selection of worthy causesLet's start with the actual money. They money is only being presented to minimise tax that should be used for other causes and secondly free (sorry tax payers) publicity. What is morally wrong is holding a competition to decide which little money is distributed from 3261 groups. All these groups are as worthy as each other. Most of these groups are as important as each other.
You deliberately and unwisely picked Beatson to prove your point.. All these charities / organisations are fantastic. The last thing they need is for someone like you championing there cause is some vain attemp to prove a point on a shitty wee forum.
To come on here and advise a disabled person that there initiative is less worthy than someone else's is disgusting. You like me know nothing about these people or there struggles. However at least have a bit of common decency and support them especially when all they asked was for you to press a button for them

1987 wiped out the bitter memories of three 1980s losing semi finals. 2013 wiped out the bitter memory of the 2010 final. I cannot seperate them for enjoyment levels. Both were superb. Not sure what atmosphere in a boozer has to do with anything. All that matters is the cup success.
What they both have in common is that we never used either success to push the club onwards and a bit upwards. We went backwards.

There's no way Gary Teale should be our manager going into next season. Even allowing for the Tommy Craig factor, as others have said, going into two absolutely vital relegation games, Gary Teale's St Mirren side rolled over and didn't put up a fight. I don't expect Barcelona-esque flair or indeed winning cups, they're a bonus. I do however expect to see my team try a leg and be organised and motivated - especially when the shit is hitting the fan. Gus had us organised and up for it when the going got tough. Gus-esque fight and a bit of pride is the very, very least Gary Teale should have been able to deliver.
We delivered nothing, other than being all over the place and taking it right up the arse from Motherwell and Ross County. We are shocking defensively, offer nothing in midfield without McLean, and couldn't score in a barrel of Neil Doncasters.
Game's a bogey - we need an outside manager without any SMFC baggage to come in, knock the team into some sort of shape and severely kick some arses.

Lennon had learned on the job despite their lack of support for him and had earned at least a years contract.
Appointing Craig was stupidity... only 1 previous job in football management and sacked a few months into a 2 year contract... yet they offered him a TWO year contract when Lennon couldn't even get ONE!
They waited too long to act and maintained a silence throughout... alienating fans.
They appointed Teale, which I don't have a problem with... but failed to support him in his first management job as he presided over a deeply split dressing room. The board were responsible for the split between senior players by the way they handled matters.
Meanwhile... correct, money is tight... but NO effort whatsoever has been made to generate more income by getting fans onboard! For them, the solution is always to cut rather than increase income.
Team needs support... full price for a home capitulation to Ross County.
Prior to that interview, the only time they have spoken was to ask fans to invest £23 in Motherwell FC by turning up whilst the players forgot to!!!!!
There has been so much apathy and lack of leadership at the club for some time now... and the directors are lucky that tbe fans are so worn down that even apathy is too much of an effort...

It would be gd to give someone else a go at running the club worryingly plenty of interest but when they meet Mr gilmour they do a runner , what's happening there. All I keep hearing is how the board are fans well sell the club take their money and go .
