Nothing has changed here....................... Ayr beat Raith big deal............ Raith had 14 shots against Ayr who managed 2 against us. Raith don't have a goalie. It just shows how crap both teams are. I am glad Raith are now in mix
 
Over to Saints. last 10 league matches W 3 D 4 L 3 , add 4 cup wins including Dundee away.............. so that 7 wins for Jack and the team, that's eh form......
 
Even if we lose tonight so what, we beat Raith, Ayr again and Sons plus a few other results we stay up in 8th.....

i like the look of this Norwegian boy Fj...(whatever) that you tube clip of his games was very impressive
id like to see him play along side McGinn with him in a more holding role and spreading the passes and Mcginn making runs into the box (something Mallen doesnt do)( i wish he would) 

Thought he stood out in the first half, great goal and was unlucky not long before that when he sold Storrie a good dummy and produced a good save from O'brien. Should be playing at a higher level if he's only 24.

Yes we can live in hope but Ayr have also stregthened their team too. It will be a battle and even so there will be another battle afterwards with second bottom having to get through TWO play off games to survive. And for what ? I think there is more to addressed than the survival. We are a selling club and seem to depend on either loanees or youngsters. Anyone with prospects gets shipped out. Getting that balance is something that I don't think Ross is suitable for. And I have a feeling more besides is going on. Changing captain, leaving established players out and rock bottom esteem. I can imagine that right now some players are weighing up their options for the future and maybe one reason for lack of commitment is that you don't want to injure yourself and throw your future in jeopardy.These guys have bills to pay like anyone else. There is a lot going on contributing to all of this. 

Why don't we all wait till the January transfer window closes and see what changes to the squad have been made and we all might have a better idea how the rest of the season might pan out

Aye Happy New Year to everyone on here - even the two I have on ignore. Here's hoping for a 2017 where I have nothing to complain about when it comes to St Mirren and we can all be happy for a change. 

I'm sure as fellow buds we would all like one thread at least that can just be about the thread title.

We as buds live throughout the world , different countries and many of us away from family and friends. On here however ? We do at the end of the day share one thing in common our 'Love' of St Mirren.

My thoughts are as follows
 
Alex Rae was a truly awful manager.  The sight of Kyle Hutton on that list enrages me.  That man signed a pile of urine and it has (yet again) ruined my season.

When Hearts were deducted 15 points 3 years ago they literally played whole SPL season with mostly young players Walker and Patterson spring to mind.
They understandably got a few beatings along the way but I remember they finished that season on a great run of results.
They then got the benefit of this the next season winning the league ahead of Rangers with points to spare.
Our experienced players are letting us down big time so should we keep 1 or 2 (Sutton and Irvine for example) and go with a hardcore of the Magennis,Morgan and Mcallisters for rest of the season in the hope that this will benefit us to win League 1 next year.
Now I know we have more than half a season to save our championship status but should we be realistic and start preparing for League 1 now as we have to win at least 3 more games than Dumbarton between now and end of season which would probably mean winning around 9 games out of 24 which isn't going to happen.

For the first time ever I have decided to speak out negatively about an individual St Mirren player and we have had some over the years that I have been close to it but I can't bite my tongue with this guy.
Jamie Langfield has had a good career playing at the top level of our game but since he has come to us and in most games that he has started he had one too many howlers. Yes he has had a couple of decent games but overall he has been honking. A bomb scare and we have had more than a few dodgy goalkeepers over the years. Was at fault for the first goal midweek and today also. It is happening too often.
Please put Gallacher or Willison in goals until January.

What a lovely guy Tony is, wearing his heart on his sleeve and basically baring his soul. 

I couldn't care less. 
The present Squad of players are a disgrace to their trade. 
The sooner they are booted out of St Mirren Football Club, the better. 
I would rather have  the Tannoy fixed presently.  

The formation yesterday at Hibs looked like a 3-4-3 Very attack minded.
Potential to score, for sure, but also open on the break.
Prefer it this way as long as we win more points than we lose.

It would be great to see Saints play with 1 forward but unfortunately we don't have 1

That's the kind of signing to get the crowds rolling up. Bottom of the league, no wins, £20 to get in and the prospect of an English fourth division reserve player to come to the rescue . Been down that route before and it doesn't work. 
I know normal signings are not permitted at this time and Jack Ross has been left in a terrible position with very little prospect of picking up points in the immediate future. Success, unfortunately, would merely be being able to survive relegation this season which is already looking like a very difficult task. I have already considered the likelihood of next season in the third tier and unless we won that league straight off it would be disastrous. A run of wins though, particularly at home, even in a lower league could see crowds increase from the current paltry size. Fingers crossed it doesn't need to come to that. In the meantime I am still refusing to stump up £20 to watch the current dross on show. Get it sorted out, board.
