It was such a good day yesterday I offered a former FFF club member a kiss, although he was 4 rows in front of me which meant I would have to clamber over Gav to get to him, decided it wisnae worth it.

It's amazing how things can change in a year. Step up and accept the adulation of the humble saints fans for your great work in creating the best attacking side we have seen since the early eighties. Danny Lennon and Tommy Craig should be given 5 year contracts asap.

Yea I can understand your post and accept it 100% but I have never been against the CIC, only the funding bodies time scales and lack of information. I have had dealings with them in the past at a much lower level and I have to accept now that my rants were out of order as we procede towards St Mirren becoming a CIC. My true fear was that relegation would damage the embryo at birth and all it had to offer would be lost. I could not have been more wrong as Danny Lennon has given us a real reason to believe in the team before the CIC takes control. The CIC will take us to a new level by delivering a sustainable income which will allow us to both keep players and attract new ones. There is one important thing to remember in all of this and it is the fact that the funding bodies will gain a massive resource for a fraction of the price they would normaly have to invest in. We are in a win/win situation but never forget the value of the deal to the state.

Having collected my dummy from the pram I am delighted that the cic is finaly going ahead. I did not expect the revoloution on the park this season to be as great as it is now having witnessed the last 3 games. The signings of Thompson,Teale and Hasselbank gave us great heart but the football produced has been sublime. The end game for us has to be more people attending games and a bigger player buget to keep our momentum going. I have no doubts the cic is the only way we can acheive this and the first priority must be to get Danny Lennon on a 5 year contract. This can not only be a very special year but a year that makes us a genuine force in football for ever.

Sid you are the very reason that I have not signed up to the CiC. The problem I have with the CiC is not the use of the club, the community etc it’s the fear bit that the lunatics could take over the asylum.
I have a fear that I pay my hard earned cash to the CiC and discover that some numpty has been elected to either of the boards. All I want to do is turn up and support the team on the pitch. I am not interested in the side show and the baiting that you have undertaken from the start on this.
I want to support the CiC for the community aspect not to give someone a position of power over other fans. If I discovered Sid had been elected (pigs might fly I know) I would seriously reconsider the merits of my contribution.
These threads put people off the CiC.

Don't understand what the big concern is as it is widely known the waiting game is for the last bit of founding.
Would understand if the CIC was injecting £2 million in to the team.
Things will be much the same for the next 10 years. Then when the loans are paid of we should see progress.

Was thinking the same Mr Zoo an up-date on where things are would be welcome

Most contact with CIC is through computer. However I know a few Saints fans also who have computers but don't bother with Saints forums. These same people don't get the PDE ether so fore sure there is scope to get more onboard.

Im led to believe that there is a good chance that Higdon is staying with us and also that another striker will be joining us who is still very young and has SPL experience although not a great goalscoring record. Although I must say whenever I have seen him I have been pretty impressed although I'm keeping the name under my hat meantime. This is all on top of Thompson signing! All looking good for next season

Frankly I was sickened and angry today to see these leaflets being put out. While Mr. A and Co. were sitting in the comfort of the boardroom.
Many of our fellow supporters WHO CAN ILL AFFORD to take part in this dubious idea are being conned into taking part in a scheme to turn our team into a rich man's plaything FUNDED BY SOME OF OUR POOREST SUPPORTERS.
What will be next ? How about putting out leaflets for the likes of WONGA.com. Invite supporters to borrow money at 4000% plus APR.
How about leaflets for a local loan shark.

TSUMirren thankfully seems to have a good idea how CIC actually works so I hope he gets the chance to meet Mr Atkinson and comes back with his thoughts. That way we don't need to hear the finer details

Every single St Mirren supporter will want to know first and foremost all money raised at what risk will it be to the club if it can not be paid. After all we are talking 2 million which is more than the 1.8 million that nearly folded the club.
If this is answered in a simple and clear manner it will let Mr.Atkinson get on with running the club.
As I wrote further back I do have faith in Stuart Gilmour handing the club over to the right people.
I would be interested in making a small monthly contribution to the club if I know it is going to make a difference on the park. But not if it is just for paying back money raised to buy the club. This of course raises the question how many will buy into it as our record as supporters putting in a wee bit extra in the clubs hour of need is grim. I'm talking about fans who can afford to help
SMISA could only get a couple of hundred fans to contribute ten pounds a month out of a hard core of 2,500.
The share Issue was also what could be called a failure as us the fans did not buy what was hoped for.
I'm quite happy to bide my time for Mr.Atkinson to go public on his proposals which I hope is before any deal goes through.

Bluto my fellow buddie , yes you are correct about Provans. I wrote I found it strange that a community club should drop a community business who has supported the club for years in favour of a high street chain which is being suggested. That I cant understand under the banner - St Mirren community club.The club knows the fans have a good relationship with Provans so I would have thought some sort of explanation as to why it was changed would have been good PR. Is a community club not a more open club. I would have thought so
The new proposals are a bit of a head buster having read the Stenhousemuir article. If it means safe guarding the club and generating more income then I'm sure all will be in favour of CIC.

I have not written I am against a community club at any time
I have written dropping Provan Sports to me was not good. It is a local community shop who supported a local community club. That does not mean I am against a community club.
