saintnextlifetime got a reaction from Vambo57 in Plan To 'de-Pedestrianise' Paisley
I think most people in the town recognise this as part of the solution , to get people back into the town for shopping. It just needs those that can actually change it, to do what needs done. .

If they want people to return to the centre, make year round free parking the main priority. I dont see how allowing vehicles outside of shopping hours would offer any boost to the businesses in the area, I think sportsters is the only pub that is in the pedestrian bit.

I had a lovely walk today with the wife and kids (5 and 2 years old). I live in Erskine and it was lovely along the river front today.I was saying to the missus that its one of the things I like about living here, then it was spoiled by FANNY,S walking about with there pissing dogs off the lead. It might be a lovely dog but I dont want the bastard sniffing my balls or giving my two year old daughter a fright. Dont start me on the dogshit. Keep the Bastard on a lead if there are other people about. Cheers.

Whilst , I have always enjoyed the chant " Good to , good to be , good to be a Buddie" , to be brutally honest , over the years , it hasn't always been good to be a Buddie. From the dark days of near extinction to more recent times like , That game , it has often been tough . .
Over the years , I often avoided looking at the newspapers , particularly , on a Sunday morning . .
However , this morning was different . The one that caught my eye was the one in the Sunday Herald " Potuguese pest , is Paisley's best" . The article was great . Our team and in particular , Isma , got a glowing report . To be fair tho' , it has been great to read the papers about Saint Mirren for about a week now . I get text messages from non Saints friends saying things like "Great results" , others I meet at work are very congratulatory. .
Last Sunday was fantastic , not just because of the result but because of our fanastic support , that out sang a much bigger support , whom , nearly all f**ked off early because they were getting a drubbing. .
Long may it last . I have always been proud to be a Buddie but now it is bloody brilliant to be a Buddie. .

its a shame it doesnt last long because it wont be long till words like "clueless" and "useless" will appear once again
people with short memories who forget how great it is to support this club
when the good comes along its fantastic
when the bad appears....try to curb your dagger like verbal attacks on management and players
we strive for results like this
(not aimed at anyone in particular)

Pretty sure Gary grew up as a Rangers fan. Don't care but, he's playing for the stripes now, not just in them.

Aye, I caught that too. I just assumed the commentator is a clueless balloon, but there might be something in it I suppose.
I was great to see how caught up in the emotion all the players were today. Even the loanees were clearly buzzing, with big Isma going mental when Sir Steven of Thommohawk scored his goal.
Each and every one of them conducted themselves like St Mirren supporters this afternoon.

Indeed,no one player's loyalty or commitment to the cause could be questioned today , everyone of them gave 100% - and some a bit more than that. .
Thommo's desire to get the ball in the net and win the game for us was superb. .
After the first goal I almost lost my voice at the jubilation and our non-stop singing and chanting was first class as meanwhile at the other side of the stadium things seemed decidedly , quieter. What superb backing we gave our team as they gave us the performance of the season and Danny's first win against the vermin was to be done in style at the national stadium , no less, with a massive tv audience , no doubt. .
A great first day out for Gonsalves not just for the goal but the way he was hanging on to possession towards the end. And towards the end, we were all watching the minuites tick away, as we willed our team to hang on for the win . .
So wee Santa' at the end , he just said. ."Yeh , can shove yer fucken treble up yer arse. .!!". .

I would suggest having him on the bench, then once we have gone 1 up introduce him to play up front alongside Thomson. The two of them would then work together to put the game beyond the reach of the opposition. .
