Another glorious failure, JR left it too long to freshen things up, yesterday's performance/result doesn't improve my rating of him, still got the same opinion I had on P3 - ninth or bust!

Is it not about time people moved on & concentrated on the job in hand. Last time I looked we are still bottom of the league & it's been a lot longer than AR had us.

    Ps
The footballs better, we've won a few games recently but still not out the shit yet.

When Rae was the manager he appeared on sports joirnalism programmes less often than S Thompson esq who talked about The Rangers FC just as much.

That really doesn't bother me one iota. They can only respond to the popular discussion topics and sadly for us, in Scotland that tends to be one of two teams whereby a previous affiliation is seen as a qualification.

I didn't mind how he spoke re Saints either. He often spoke sense as he sought to heal a seriously fractured dressing room.

What I did really object to was his dogmatic approach to tactics which were patently wrong.

The more they backfired, the more he insisted the fault was the players ability and the fans lack of tactical knowledge.

Now THAT was worth complaining about!

Great result if not our best performance in recent weeks. Mallan MOM for free kick and his hard graft him and McGinn put in. We gave them to much room in midfield. Big shout for Gary McKenzie superb again. Hope Harry Davis injury is not to bad. real good player for us since he came to the club. The great escape is on. Well done to Jack and James.

    Please don't. Idiot.
    Your negativity is hardly helpful.

Whatever you think the guy gives 100% every time he steps on the pitch.

Would you prefer Ball, Marwood or Wardlaw back?

Stelios and Morgan have been absolute dynamite on the left against Hibs and Celtic.

So... he moves Stelios to the right! Why? Why not just leave it as is?

Don't disrupt that partnership. Either keep Irvine at right back or play Eckersley there.

I think winning games, irrespective of how we are playing, will unite the vast majority of the support.
Oh, and escaping relegation might help.

Maybe Rodgers thought that a team coming to his place to play football, try to get forward, not park the bus, take the lead, and go in 1-0 up at half time was more impressive than what Alloa did, albeit of much merit. Maybe Rodgers, being forced to hook Mackay-Steven and bring on not only Roberts, but Griffiths, and to take off Nir Bitton because of the situation St Mirren put his team in, saw that as being a situation more serious than Alloa presented. Maybe Rodgers, seeing a whipped-in free kick nearly see his team go 0-2 down, saw St Mirren's threat as being more serious and impressive than Alloa's. Maybe Rodgers has an account on here and knows you talk shite. Maybe...

While the "Jack Ross must go" thread was way off the mark at the time, this thread is still, IMO, too early.
There's no doubt the signs are improving, but didn't we beat Hibs early in the season with a "shambles" of a squad?
The end of the season should be a time to reflect and assess the performance of the manager.
We are still very much in trouble, this Wednesday brings yet another "must win" game. (Not the last this season I fear)
Nothing wrong with a bit of optimism, but it should be tempered with some level of reality.

We have just received the not inconsiderable accolade of being named by Brendan Rodgers as the best team his high-flying Celtic have played domestically this season. Quite an astonishing statement in all circumstances.
As such, and despite the fact that we have much work to do to salvage a dire season, I believe that Jack Ross has shown enough to suggest that he has what is required to ultimately propel our club in the right direction.
It is time to get full square behind our young management team and accept that we require stability, with a  committed and ambitious management team at the helm. I think we have that, and if we back them, we will be heading back to where we belong sooner rather than later!

It certainly does, add to that consistency and sticking to your word.
we were told the sacking has to stop, only to see the sacking continue within weeks....
we were told by the new manager he saw the quality to get us up the league in the dressing room when he joined, only for him to continually criticise drop, sell and off load those same players.
we were told that 'youth' was the answer and where the club would major, only for products of our academy to be let go....
common sense does as you suggest seem to allude some people.
now it seems our sucess lies on the back of almost a whole new team, who may well all be elsewhere in 14 weeks?
Edit; welcome to the 'Lee Clark' school of (throw as many different players as you can at the problem) how to manage a professional football club.

Same here Thornhill hospital but brought up in Paisley, left to join the army but came home again when got out. My family support one of the ugly sisters, the new one lol [emoji23] I chose to support the buddies, my kids stay in Paisley & support our beloved team. Good to hear we have fans from out with Paisley.
My son was born in 1987 what a year that was, he was still in nappies when I took him to his first game, he's a ST holder like myself so glad he has seen his team win a cup. We've all seen the ups & downs with our club, we dont always agree with each other on this forum but we all want the same thing. We'll be back to the good days again, let's stuck in there.
