I see Lewis' mammy is talking about chucking Twitter on account of people seemingly having a dig about his recent performances.
Yes, his form has dipped, but it just goes to show how important he is to our team. I'm sure things will pick up for him again, and he will be key to how the season plays out, depending on how long he stays.
Having a go at the lad via his mother's Twitter account is piss poor.

That article you quoted specifically says there is no suggestion of her not paying the right amount of tax.
But you chose to start a thread accusing her of tax dodging anyway?
I honestly dont know what is worse: an entitled royal family or a nation of ankle-biting chip on shoulder lying bastard lefties who think the rest of us are too stupid to think for ourselves and therefore feel the need to tell us what to think.
Honestly, I am torn between the two.

So now he's a bully and he's attacking SMISA? Ever considered some SMISA membership appreciate our club chairman thoughts? Because I certainly do. It changed my vote and I'm glad he kept us informed that this is contrary to the interests of OUR FOOTBALL CLUB. What fan wouldn't want this information? TBH I'd be more annoyed if he stayed silent.

If SMISA ever did come out against the club I wonder if you'd have the same stance that they were bullies and attacking St Mirren?

Again members are able to decide. Members deciding with more information is only a good thing instead of a lack of transparency about concerns that directly impact our club. Don't make the mistake of thinking all members are disappointed in this honest statement.

As for my assumption, it's an assumption because they aren't saying otherwise. Those who choose not to use their vote, that's absolutely fine but I think it's a fair assumption that they're not overlay concerned. In fact in a lot of cases it's not an assumption, I know and have spoken to several members that don't bother with the vote because they're happy to go with what other fans decide. Nothing wrong with that imo.

It defo looked a pen from W1, which is as good a view as there was. I didn't think our players complained too much though, which got me second guessing myself.

If he did dive it was a ludicrous decision as he was right through. If he never dove, and it looked a foul to me, it was a bloody awful decision from a ref who was awful all day.

I think you have to remember though a lot of paying members are perfectly happy for the money to go to our club. If it was up to me I'd give every penny to St Mirren and let them decide what it goes on, be that the club or community. We aren't two separate entities imo. Anything that benefits my club will get my vote.

People have moaned previously about not enough community stuff. This vote there's a really good balance between community and St Mirren plus the options to carry. Very happy with it.

In regards to the money making a real difference. I think people have to remember it's only about £8k a quarter. Drop in the ocean in football terms. Great to see things like disabled platform but we can't really expect changes like that all the time. Got to remember it's an interim board we have right now. Changes that fans want can wait to a certain extent.

    Indeed.
    Much ado about very little.
You can just imagine what would have happened if he hadn't made a statement and the usual infantile shit stirrers had twisted matters to suit their extremely tiresome vendetta against the club.

I don't get this indignation that Kenny McLean is doing Saints out of a sell on fee.
What is he supposed to do? Accept less money to stay at Aberdeen when he can get more somewhere else.? Refuse to move to a bigger club or even league and further his career?
The lad did well for us stayed on when he didn't have to and we agreed to sell him. We got some dosh for him. End of. He owes saints nothing more.
I wish him all the very best and will always remember a good player who gave his all for Saints when he was here.

Had a wee bit of Hibs at 5/1 yesterday, didn't turn out too good.
Had some of Motherwell at 21/4 today, that went well.
Currently got Spurs & BTTS at 11/4, Spurs 2-1, 28 mins gone.

If we have any pretentions to winning the league, this is the sort of game we have to win. Doesn't matter that it's a derby. The team we are playing is well below us in the league and a team sitting on top of the league should be able to put them away.
I agree that Quitongo is their danger man but they also have other good players up front. Our defence will need to be on top form to look after them. Elsewhere, having Magennie back should help if he's up to speed and we need Smith, Morgan and Reilly to take the chances that were missed against Falkirk. We need to win and stay top as our next game is likely to be against a resurgent Dundee United at Tannadice.  That one is starting to look a real crunch game for our future prospects.
Having said all that, it will of course be a great bonus to pay our derby rivals back for their win at Cappielow!

RickMcD reacted to East Lothian Saint in Falkirk v St Mirren Championship 21/10/17
Another fine day out in Falkirk and what a contrast to the good old, bad old days when Fergie was the man and I last travelled to Falkirk in a title winning year. 11 Sept 1976 those halcyon days when drink was allowed in the ground and segregation was a thing of the future. The opposition were the enemy and derogatory chants were compulsory, not frowned upon, in the days when fisty cuffs and missile throwing meant every match was a real adventure. We got cuffed 2-0 that day and the “Falkirk Fear” or the “Falkirk Yoof” as they liked to be known put a couple of bricks through our bus window. It was a draughty run home.
In complete contrast, move on 40 years to the modern game and the Falkirk Yoof have all grown up and are really nice lads and lasses. I started off “behind the wall” my merry band of Buds all bedecked in the full Joma regalia and black and white scarves conversed and drank freely with the myriad of blue, red and black topped Falkirk lads and lasses all proudly sporting their Falkirk Steeples on their badges. They all wished us well but they were not confident in the least about their team’s chances. We were offered tickets on their bus to take us to the ground but a few of them persuaded us to go to their local “Cheers” and we got seats on their bus. Instead of throwing drink cans at each other we just passed the glasses and bottles about and drank the contents. All very civilised and modern. Lots of good banter and then together on the bus to the game.
As regards the game. These are only my opinions but I do respect JR and he obviously knows better than me but we should have won that. I thought we started off well and we should have scored early on. Riley and Morgan had good chances but it just didn’t happen. Credit to JR. He realised Morgan was toiling and swapped him and Magennis around but we didn’t improve much and Falkirk came into the Game. I thought replacing Magennis with Sutton was a mistake. Sutton spent more time wrestling and falling on his arse than he did making space and with a reduced midfield Falkirk took control. That meant Riley had to come off to regain the midfield but I’m not sure Kirkpatrick was the answer. I thought McGinn played better this week but it was only after Macpherson came on that Smith started making runs that hurt and we had two chances at the end. Still to be honest I would have taken a point at the start but I reckon we should have won that. Falkirk were woeful up front and never really looked like scoring. Still all the other results fell into place and we can only get better.
After the game, the Falkirk fans waited for us and ran us back into town on their bus. It was back to “Cheers” for beers and post-match Analysis. Good banter, good fun, good natured and a good point I eventually conceded.
This could be another title winning year and hopefully this time we won’t get chased out of Dundee by the “Hilltown ****” like we did when we lifted the title on that famous Tuesday night in 1977. I’m far too old for that now. It’s much more civilised buying them drink instead of throwing it at each other.

I agree - not just because he is a fellow highlander - but it’s a pretty catchy tune.

Seriously doubt the writer will make millions in royalties from St Mirren fans listening to this but someone has a hobby, took some serious time to write this and ‘gift it’ to the club. Not sure why merits the tone of some of these comments.

It is also worthwhile pointing out that the only people who need to know about what is keeping Mac out of action are the club board, the manager and his family.
As fans, all we need to know is that he is out of action with no date for his return. He should be getting 100% support from all of us IMO regardless of what is keeping him out,

I think Stewart has potential to blossom into a good player for us. Tell me how you think players develop, do you think sitting on the bench helps progression?

If Stewart had 160+ goals to his name he would be playing for PSG. That statement was quite simply one of the strangest things I’ve read.

I think Sutton is a good impact player, he comes on, he scores a goal - he does his job.

That doesn’t mean to say I wouldn’t like to see Sutton start. I also think it’s a competitive position, and JR (who btw, knows a lot more than you and me) has clearly got his tactics right or we would have drawn or lost.

You can have your opinion, that doesn’t always mean you’re right. You just like to listen to yourself berate others, and there’s simply no need for it.

There’s yer contribution now pipe down.

Great to get the monkey off our back regarding Dumbarton.
Excellent finishes by Reilly and Sutton, with the latter looking a lot more like his old self .
Good to see JR getting right once again.

I've just dropped 4 guys off at Central who are going to the U21 game tonight then flying to Slovenia from Newcastle tomorrow. They were slightly hungover from last night and asked if it was ok to have a curer in the car.1 produced a 1/2 bottle of whisky and they tanned it.....1 drink each.
The £40 they gave me for a £15 hire helped me forgive them.
