Doesn’t seem to get much attention but I thought McLoughlin was excellent today. Great player.

If you were out “walking with dog”, then how do you know Andreu was head and shoulders above anybody on the park?

3 or 4-0 wouldn't have flattered us in all honesty. St Johnstone were shockingly bad. I actually thought we took the foot off the pedal a wee bit after the second goal, it was almost too easy and players were trying a wee bit too much when we could have kept it simpler, but you can't complain. A good days work and an important 3 points.
Also, after that, I'm not sure this expected St Johnstone renaissance is coming. They looked like us under Stubbs or Rae.

    FT 2-0

    Yas.

Thought we were good second half. Controlled the game, scored one more, should have scored two or three more. Easy and well deserved three points in the end.

Thought Broadfoot was fantastic (again) and Mullen and Obika, a goal each from our two starting strikers, what more you want?

Our home record has actually been good this season. Five games, two wins two draws one defeat, one goal conceded, which was a wonder free kick against Rangers.

We need to improve going forward and on the road, but overall there is clearly progression under Goodwin. We are 9th and that’s about where we should be, higher than we were at any point last season.

Thought the visitors were a disgrace, second half particularly. I’ve seen a lot of St Johnstone teams over the last 20 years but that has to be the worst. I was expecting them to come out all guns blazing second half and really put us under pressure. They didn’t, they didn’t look interested and rolled over, pathetic. Unless there is major changes at that football club they will finish 12th. I hope there isn’t.

Is here something in the psyche of St Mirren fans that makes moaning about players, the management and the board the default setting for many? The defence has been good so recruitment there looks to have been good. I like the midfield and the increased competition for places in there. Sure, we are struggling up front and questions are being asked there but otherwise we look way ahead of the team we were at the same stage last year. No reason to get carried away, but no reason to be despondent either. And the pies at Motherwell are OK.

No, it's not. The behaviour of the two of you is not healthy.
Far Away has already been warned, so he's out.
You can spend some time in the bin.

I have no idea what you are expecting from me here seeing as how you've posted a huge scrambled link that doesn't work and seem to think you are making some killer point with it.

Possibly an unpopular opinion, but is there an argument to say that we don't always need Flynn and Foley in the midfield? I know they are both playing well, but while it's very solid and covers the back 4 well, that pairing really doesn't offer much in terms of forward energy or creativity. Magennis doesn't strike me as a lazy player so if we put him in there with one of the other two I don't think we'd lose too much in terms of work rate, but we could gain a bit more going forward. It would also allow us to play one of Mcallister or Djorkaeff, and maybe offer a bit more threat from midfield, and maybe rely less on the fullbacks for our width.
The strikers get a lot of the stick, but there isn't much there for them at the moment.

Zero. My view on this has not and will never change. If we give tickets to the bigots at the expense of even one fan being able to get a ticket I would not support the arrangement.
I don't believe we wold do that though, GLS has made comment to reviewing the arrangement on increased ticket prices before.

Can't admit when you're wrong, often comes out on unfounded arguing. You have zero reason not to believe me on that point yet don't question another who has said similar... I know I rattle you but this is ridiculous.

Both points were true. You have to believe I'm lying about the first because it went against your opinion on the subject. Second, google it.

The thing is, like with other posts it'll go on as long as you continue to claim I've been inconsistent. Doesn't matter if it's you, Oak or anyone else. I will protect myself at the claim because it's simply false.
You could close it down easily by stopping responding, continuing to claim something we both know is false won't do it. Saying you've tried is therefore clearly a lie.

I prefer to watch games against the old firm on the tv people can blame them getting 2 stands as the reason people decide to stay away all they want I still won’t go back to these games if they only gave them 2 seats.

Unless it’s the latter stages of a cup game nothing the club can do would make me go to a normal league game against them I have been to more than enough games against the old firm home and away to last me a lifetime.

Until we can fill the South stand for me as a South stand season ticket holder I see no issue moving seats if the club benefits financially.
If it pays the wage of an additional player or two I am all for it.
We love the saints for a reason and it shouldn't matter an iota where your sitting.

You do though. I've also added much value on here, many people throughout the life of this conversation & others have posted points that have turned out to be wrong & on more than one occasion I've corrected them. Don't let someone with a different opinion from yours get in the way of that though.

Two big decisions in the game went against us today. We should have had a penalty first half and there should have been a free kick for us before Waters fouled Defoe for Rangers goal.

Another day one or both of them goes for us and we get something from the game.

For teams like us to get anything from games against the Old Firm we need to be well organised and have a bit of luck. Today we were organised, we just didn’t have that bit of luck.

    FT 0-1

Played well and done by a wonder free kick in the end. Had a couple of half chances to equalise but scoreline probably fair in the end.

Plenty of positives again though, our opening 3 games have been against 3 of last seasons top 5 and we’ve been well in every game and won 1 of them.

Next 3 are Livi, Ross County and Hamilton, will have a better idea of where we’re at after them.
