The "starve the club of cash" stuff really worries me in all honesty.
As supporters we have all followed St Mirren far and wide and through thick and thin but with "owners" in charge cash has been found a loaned in times of need........what happens if the new funders (fans) aren't happy with decisions being made by the new board (SMISA), have they to throw the dummy and stop funding the club making it more and more difficult to find the "spare cash" for difficult cash-flow times.
Imagine a scenario where those who choose to stop parting with cash because they don't like decisions means that not only will they not buy tickets but also stop paying their direct-debits because they no longer believe in the folk making the decisions.
I was a originally a supporter of the fan ownership idea but was horrified by people throwing out accusations against fellow supporters, name calling bordering on libellous because things weren't being done they way they wanted or felt they should.......I can see the same thing happening all over again if things aren't going the way that certain people want them to.
I am still a believer in fan ownership in a "utopia" type way but will take a deal of persuading to chuck my hat, Stetson or otherwise, in the ring this time around.

Being happy to take the short term cash instead of looking at the bigger picture has ruined Scottish football.
Back in 2012 we had the chance to kill off the Old Firm forever. We had the chance to create a genuinely competitive Scottish football league.
Had the brand new Sevco club been denied admission then Celtic would have withered away. FFS, look what's happened simply without Rangers on the top flight.
The sort of folk who aare happy to hand over the South Stand are the reason we didn't kill off the Old Firm for good.
I have hardly been to a game since 2012 and this is the final straw for me. I wont ever be back to another game.

Tend to agree but admit if I was one of those having to flit I suppose I would be a bit peed off. Something that can't be denied, though, is that our BoD have elevated cack-handedness to a new level. Maybe for the last time? 4th. place isn't likely for us but it's still a remote possibility but imagine us going into that game needing three points and having that bloody mob there. If they asked nice, would our bored board let them sing the Sash?

Good few quid to help bring in a couple of players, cover the wages and help us achieve our long term goals? You do know we're talking about maybe 40k less associated added cost for accomodating an entirely new stand full of knuckledraggers?The long term goal of the current incumbents who don't even have the decency to speak with the Fan Council is to get to fcuk out of Dodge.
Anyone annoyed by their actions, deciding to try writing to them, deciding to not go to this fixture, or contemplating their normally automatic ST renewals are perfectly within their rights to do so. I don't see anyone claiming their annoyance / outrage / mild irritation makes them an Uber-fan.
Look at the bigger picture? The likelihood is we won't be facing an ugly sister for many seasons to come. The bigger picture shouldn't be 35k or so from one game. The bigger picture should be not hacking off your core customer base, not treating your Fan Council like shite, and having more initiatives like the Bring a Buddie idea.

For those who didn't make the game, his brother Peter came on the pitch at half time and said a wee thank you to fans of both clubs for their kind words this week.
Was quite touching as he was choking back tears.

I had hoped to see Howieson in the central role on Saturday with Mallan out.
I do think the lad has ability... but not as a winger.

Howieson is a much better player just behind the frontman than he is when stuck out on a wing. Had a bit of a free role today across the middle and did really well.
Barry Cuddihy also stood out in a central role rather than hung out to dry at rb as he was in the top team. Never a rb.

St Johnstone had loads of possession but no real chances. The young real saints missing McAllister (is he playing for the Scotland U17s?) as well as Morgan. Goodwin, Gow and Howison played. Howison was the best player on the pitch by a distance playing just of the striker. Good well worked goal and then as said above a shocking dive for a penalty. Gow was pretty anonymous but scored one of the best goals I've seen in a while. Then seemed to come on to a game a bit. Only great goal keeping kept the Johnnies in it a great save from a header from Ross Cameron and a good shot from I think Gow.

Shocking penalty decision makes it 1-1. Blatant dive after the Fakes player lost the ball.
