Unfortunatley never got to see the real Floyd but did go to see the Aussies a few years ago. Well worth it in my opinion. Shut your eyes and it could be the real thing.

Have no recollection of this Dempster guy at all.  Agree with your assessment though. Experience is OK but it does not top good quality players.

So having moved this season to sit with grandsons in Family Stand we are to be evicted. So much for our CEO wanting home support behind goals. Why not just give them the whole of main stand and be done with it. This is a betrayal by a board that is no longer interested in supporting the club. Do I want move elsewhere. Do I want to renew season ticket for next year. Do I just ask for alternative tickets and sell them to Rangers fans. Are Renfrew playing at home that day.

Can't see how the board will be able to offer me equivalent tickets elsewhere for children so I will be writing asking for a refund. Not holding my breath though. I feel this decision may backfire on board as it will further diminish goodwill and the value of their investment in club. I wish they would just give up their seats and allow fresh blood in.

Really cannot see how this board can do any better than Danny and Tommy. Not on budget they have. Most impressed with the dignity shown by Danny throughout.

Totally understand all that has been said above and agree that fans and 10000hours should be doing everything possible to stop Mr Gilmour despite all he has done for us down the river. I dont know whether I can walk away from St Mirren after 50 years but in the event of a carve up designed to do nothing more than help a bunch of cheats and criminals I will have to give it serious consideration. I dont agree with a condemnation of two directors involved in 10000hours as i quite believe it is down to Mr Gilmour alone. He and the consortium he leads have 52% of shares but 100% of the power and have the ability to do what they like regardless of other directors, fans, or anyone else.
As a 10000hours member I look for a statement making our position quite clear. No carve up for a team of cheats and crooks. If we do that there is a very real prospect of professional football dying in Scotland.

For once I think St Sid actually has a valid point. I am yet to be convinced by his "under UK employment law" references but if the CIC does take over the club I will certainly be looking to get the voting structure sorted. Main points should be
Percentage of members participating in a vote for the motion to be carried (I would guess something like 80%)
Percentage of votes made for a majority rule to carry (51% of actual votes cast for me. I don't see why this should change for different decisions but I'm happy to listen to reasons why)

The articles and procedures in the companies act of 2006 seem to contradict Sid. They say that if you have 10 members and only 8 decide to vote, then only 5 votes are required for an overall majority. For me, that is the way it should work.

I don't think a lot of 10000hrs pledger's will be too happy at the thought of starting their DD's with no assurances that 10000hrs will actually take control of the club in 12 months time. I'm happy to pay my monthly subs, but it is under the condition that I have an equal voice in the 52% share of the club i.e. the CIC bid goes through.
Why should I start paying a year early to effectively have no voice during this time when there is a chance that in a years time things go tits up and I have just thrown away £120 for nothing and am left standing holding my Davina's with a 1000 other folk.
If this is what was meant by Question 4 of the survey then I misunderstood. I am happy to increase my DD to help the club but with the understanding that 10000hrs already have control of the 52%.

To the BOD Any chance of getting to see some accurate cash flow projections to assist in making a decision on the questions you wish answered. Some real figures are required to make a quality decision.

Ive been fairly quiet on this subject of late as discussing it on here with any hope of sense has at times been difficult.
    I am In.
I encourage everyone with the best interests of our club at heart to get in on this and to get in on it NOW!
As Div (forum username of our moderator, the man known in the real world as David McDonald) said, the bid may not be perfect but
IT CAN BE RESHAPED FROM WITHIN
To have a say in the running of our club, to be able to cast a vote, to be able to speak on any matter concerning the Saint Mirren professional football club with the knowledge that "you tried", then you need to complete your direct debit mandate and you need to complete it tonight.
The time for nonsense is over, the time for action is upon us.
Take it from a very old man like me, in life the biggest regrets you will have are the things you DID NOT DO rather than what you did.
Sign up tonight, lets make this work and lets ensure the future of the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co.
Please do not let some of the nonsense spouted on here put you off. This is a one time chance and I sincerely hope that together we take it.

I'm in, and have had no problem saying that a big part of my reason for being in is the trust and faith I am putting in individuals involved in the bid. My support isn't so much because I agree with the fine print of the draft constitution, because I think the plan is 100% perfect, or because I think it is absolutely 100% nailed-down perfect.... because it isn't. I'm in because while not perfect, I genuinely believe REA, GLS, and the others involved to be of sound character and sound motive. No-one goes into this as an outsider and stranger, and sticks with it for well over two years if they have dodgy Craig Whyte intent.
The current BOD, lead by SG have been a very safe pair of hands. My fear when they put the club up for sale was that we would end up with new owners no-one knew, who could prove to be far from a safe pair of hands. I think if the CIC bid can pull this off, we are in safe hands, and the task can begin of working on the aspects of the bid we are unsure about. Some will say we should have been working on the detail and meat on the bones before now, and that we should know every last detail and be happy with it. Maybes aye, maybes naw.
Each to their own. I'm in because I like the basic premise, I like the fan involvement, I buy into the community aspect of it too, but as I said, mostly because I trust the main players to have their hearts in the right place to take the baton on from SG & Co, who over the piece, did a magnificent job for St Mirren.

Agree totally with the above and am disappointed my lucky dip on lottery did not come up last night. I have committed what I can to 10000 and in return I am looking for nothing more than a football club to support for another 50 years. This is in my opinion the best way to achieve that for my grandchildren and hope everyone that loves the club will sign up if they have not already done so. It is far from perfect but is the best on the table with the opportunity to mould it into what the members want.
I trust the fans, including those that are not convinced,, we all want the same, and this is an amazing opportunity to belive in ourselves and take charge of the club we love.
