beyond our ken got a reaction from Lord Pityme in Eddie Izzard...
What innuendo could possibly arise from a smart young woman with an eye on a career deciding not to get married? What evidence do you have that she got married just to advance her political career?
To infer that she got married just to stop people like YOU inferring something about her single status is easily the most misogynistic and hateful comment that I have seen on this forum.
Alonside your homophobic comments on another thread, you have really shown yourself up. I hope you are proud

beyond our ken got a reaction from munoz in Goodwin
A common saying is that the best predictor of future behaviours lies in past performance, so given Goodwin's recent past it is a bit harsh to call anyone a fool for saying he could be finished at our level.
He is currently doing well, seemingly knuckling down to spite IM (one of the "fools" who wanted Goodwin out of the door). Much as I applaud Goodwin for his recent contribution, spite is not the best, most sustainable or healthiest form of motivation. I hope he keeps it up as it will show a maturity that was missing from him last season and we badly need that.

Shull met an unsupported DC and declares he was a nice guy
many of us have met Herbie and know him to be a nice guy
Since when did a saints forum become a place for venting vicarious outrage on behalf of someone who reportedly wound up TF over the illness and death of his kid?
Back to the daily mail for you lot

I think your mention of Ham and Cameron in the same line are a smear on his character. Possibly much like the smear on the pig's chin

beyond our ken reacted to Howard Hughes in BlueSuedeShoes in 20 Years On...
Tony Fitzpatrick's young son died from leukaemia. Upon his return to the first team one of his first games for Saints was at home to Rangers. During the game an incident occurred between Fitzy and Cooper during which words were exchanged. Some of the words from Cooper were of a derogatory and less-than-sympathetic nature towards Fitzy, his deceased son and the difficulty being experienced at that time. Fitzy was red-carded for his reaction. I understand he had to be dragged off Cooper during said reaction. Not having seen one of our favourite midfielders employ violence before or since may underline how offensive were the words spoken by Cooper.

I think Goodwin has definitely turned some things around
the elbowing, punching and lack of guile were costing us dear for a couple of seasons.
Hopefully he is being a wee bit more canny with the referees as well

beyond our ken got a reaction from scottd in Worst Start To A Season In Championship/division 1?
the chances of top 4 are seriously hampered by the start we have had. It would be nice, but naive, to think we could recover the ground lost already, I'm afraid.

beyond our ken got a reaction from scottd in Hibernian V St Mirren Spfl Championship 26Th September 2015
I could have gone to the game, it's the second closest away game to my home this season, but chose to visit my daughter and help her with her house. i work a 60 hour week and have 3 hours of commuting every day, but I'm still a fan even if I decide not to go to individual games. it's up to me!

number one is a triumph of hope over reality, although I share the sentiment
Number 2-there is more chance of Cameron getting a standing ovation at the RSPCA. There will be people who come out with all sorts of uneducated shit about McGinn today and the laugh is that they will think it somehow affects him

beyond our ken got a reaction from Lord Pityme in Saints V Raith Rovers
I spoke to SG just before the appointment was made. He was being blown around like a leaf in the breeze by those demanding Murray as the new manager-essentially people who knew nothing were influencing someone who knew nothing
I was told the short list was poor, but apparently MacKinnon and Aitken were on it
