Think we are all trying our best, I've seen quite a lot of activity on Twitter I've tried to promote as much as people and get as many ex players / fans with lots of followers to retweets , hopefully more can follow suit . We also need more offline activity , simple leafleting and contacting existing season ticket holders /previous 10000 hours sign ups , seems there was another small meeting tonight with leaders of supporters buses/groups so hopefully can gain some momentum again.The likes of Chris brookmyre and dougie henshall have signed up and retweeted .
The more People getting behind it the better !

Let's deal in facts .... The board have told SMISA that if they can show they have a legitimate model ie 1000 sign ups that they are the the preferred bidder so it's up to us the fans to make that happen ! I for one don't want someone to walk in who doesn't necessarily have the best interests of the club at heart, then we could end up 2 years down the line having to save the club !

As much as we may hope for a St mirren supporting Millionaire to stroll in and take over we have to live in the real world and realise this isn't going to happen , surely it's better for the fans to be involved in the future of the club ? Sure the SMISA proposition isn't perfect but it's a whole lot better than someone coming in who doesn't have the best interests of the club at heart , the current board are tired , bored and lacking any ideas therefore bringing the whole club down so we desperately need fresh blood within the club. I really do hope more fans get behind the SMISA bid as a I believe this is our last crack at fan ownership under good conditions we don't want to be in a situation where fan ownership is forced like hearts had to do

1000 members is a big over estimation ( on purpose ) to account for such things as cancellations etc
With regards to your first point that could happen to anybody, hence why we all have life insurance , wills , maybe st Mirren is in Gordon's will ? :-)

Let's have a think. Where could we get a cash injection that would allow St Mirren to buy a bit of success by seriously upping the money spent on players, while also investing far bigger sums in club infrastructure and associated non-football areas like a fancy new website, more commercial staff, maybe a set of those fancy heat-lamps for Tommy Doc' to make the grass grow in winter....
1. A Scottish Saints-supporting Roy McGregor type turns up out of the woodwork who hasn't until now appeared not only during the last six years the club has been for sale, but never turned up at any time during SG & Co's tenure.
2. A Saints fan wins the Euromillions.
3. A Sheik Mansoor or Roman Abramovich turns up, not at an English Championship club with a path to the land of milk and honey, but instead fancies a crack at a club with a chance of the Bells B&Q Ramadens Petrofac Challenge Diddy Cup.
4. All the high-profile and semi-high profile Saints supporting drummers, journalists, writers, TV sports presenters, and businessmen get together and decide to pool their resources, spunk it away in an Eddie Thompson fashion and leave their kids with fcuk-all inheritance.
5. Erm, cannae' even think of a 5, unless a 100 million barrel oil field is discovered under the airdome.
So, the answers to the points above would appear to be: no, no, no, no, and highly fcuking unlikely.
Do you know what? I think I'll back the SMiSA/GLS bid and give it a chance.

GLS wanted to the buy the club when it went up for sale initially and this was rejected by the board presuming due to petty disagreements , which it looks like now they have overcame.
I was very impressed with Gordon and he comes across very well on the and seems on the same wave length as the fans .
This is a very well thought out and planned bid , George confirmed that this has taken months and months of negotiations with the board every Monday night so there has been so much hard work put in now it's the fans job to make it happen !

George and Gordon explained that they are negotiating with several loan providers and they hope to announce soon the details of that and they had no concerns with the stadium being used as a security on that .
I think the other big thing to remember is that the selling price is far lower than that under 10000 hours (under 1 million) which I think is a really good deal , it really is now or never !

Was having to think twice about this given my circalmstances of no employment. Going though lots of red tape with the council to go self-employed have every confidance something will work for me. See this as a very important opportunity too ignore the club means everything and more to me.

Gordon said at the meeting he would like the deal to go through by end of May , so quite a quick timescale , hopefully with the increased media coverage things can really take off , I'd be really disappointed if we couldn't get at least 1000
