Its their union as much as its the leaderships so why would they quit? Much better to raise awareness of a different view (especially within the scottish branch wink.png ) while staying within the union and keeping their toys in the pram whistling.gif

I said last month i expected the odds on a yes vote to have drifted out to 5/1 by Christmas. It would seem i over estimated the yes campaign as it's happened already, with both laddies and William Hills. The no vote has came in even further from an already overwhelming 1/7 on to an astounding 1/8 on.

It would seem the labour disputes over the last couple of months have decreased the chances of an independent Scotland even further.

I think no could be 1/10 on by the new year now, and i'll predict yes to go out as far as 7's. What will the odds be by referendum day? 1/20 on for no and 15/1 for yes?

This is a funner game than actually debating independence itself, because that debates pretty much finished.

What the hell are you talking about?

What have bookies predictions got to do with anything - you barking mad loon?

What's vaguely amusing is watching you get all hot and steamy over meaningless statistics.

Bookies don't make predictions Oaky boy. They offer odds.

Can someone explain to him the difference?

I would but I'm a 'barking mad loon'.

You had a spell without personal abuse there pal, what happened?:(

So you'll understand what 43:22 means then.

Except it's not. It's 43 people who have voted yes in this poll against 17 who voted no, 5 who say they are undecided and what appears to be 3,772 registered forum members who have either decided they don't want to vote, don't want to declare their intentions or aren't interested in the topic. What that says to me is that only a very small percentage of the B&W Army forum population feel strongly about wanting independence for Scotland.

Or alternatively, Stuart, it could be asserted that a very large percentage of the B&W Army population have avoided this thread on account of someone who is frequenting it.

Suffice to say, you can spin it how you like.

43 out of 3772 is about 1.14% and you're dismissing this.

Polls typically interview about 1000 people from perhaps 2,500,000 registered voters which is about 0.04% but you give that credence.

Hmm......

If it's yes then we can rest assured that we will never again be ruled by Tories , which in itself , is something worth considering !

Bollocks.

Even Norway, yes, SOCIALIST Norway just voted in a right wing government.

To vote yes thinking it will rid you of right wing politics is almost as stupid as voting no because you think Salmond is an obese lying c**t.

Thankfully the Scottish electorate isn't daft, that's why a no vote is a cast iron certainty.

The latest bookmaker odds:

No vote 1/7

Yes vote 4/1

Indeed. I feel sorry for all the yes campaigners who are wasting their money and time on this daft referendum.

This from the man who revealed Danny Lennon was about to be sacked by a fizzing mad SG 12 months ago.

That's twice you've brought this up in a thread which is not about St Mirren in less than a week. And as you say, it was a year ago!

That really got to you didn't it? Relax man, let it go.

Also for the record, you seem to have forgot what was actually said, which i find strange given your obsession with this. Anyway, what i said was that Danny would be sacked if we lost our next game at home to Dundee. We never, we won that game, so he wasn't sacked.

it's all just a politicians game, i will vote no because there will be higher taxes to pay, the snp are fronted by a bufoon who's only way of debating with other parties is to slag them off then do his wee smug look and fake laugh, there is a lack of sufficient civil servants with the experience of running a country (it is the civil servants who do most of the running of the uk not any political party) a lot of businesses based in englandshire could possibly close there scottish branches because there will be no uk gov funding available anymore.

And the flip-side, if you want to infer a Yes vote is a vote for Salmond / the SNP is that if you vote No you are potentially voting for a Conservative / UKIP coalition with Cameron and Farage running the country... or Ed Milliband and Labour... or Nick Clegg and the Lib Dems!

Scotland our time has come, we might never get another shot at it.

We have the chance to be governed by people who will do their best for Scotland

Alternatively we can vote for a party that needs the east of England to vote for them to get power. They also spout we are better together while at the same time not wanting to be a full member of the EU, in fact they want to hold a referendum to leave the EU.

Oooooh the irony.
