Eric Arthur Blair
Brian Martin was bought with some of the Ferguson money, £80k from Hamilton IIRC. Was never a midfielder, much better at CH. Saints made a decent profit in selling him to Motherwell for £170k (again IIRC) and he was capped twice for Scotland...the two games in which we won the Kirin Cup in Japan. Big Starsky’s goal that day was a topper. Mind that game was featured on the “Marching In”video.

Presumably this is Parkheid then, as big Jack laid him oot in the first home game that season didn’t he? What a season that was against them. 3 wins and a 10 man 3-3 draw. I think it was the 3-1 Match. The week previously, we beat Dundee United 4-1 in the Cup. We also beat Dundee 4-0 twice. First time in October 1976 then when clinching the Title on April 19th 1977. Think we were fairly well up early doors.
