They were silent until almost half time.Their 1st chant of the Billy Boys was met around me with comments like "who wakened them up?" and "I forgot they were here".

I agree. Noisy as the game started and then silenced for 45 minutes as Saints took the game to Killie and showed that for 45 minutes there wasn't much between the two sides. Killie came out second half fired up and their support responded. Good afternoon's football.

The song is the Billy Boys. They may change the words but it's still the Billy Boys.

It was the Ayrshire Killie Boys.

Each Club is  permitted their own version.

Hello Hello We Are The Buddie Boys.

Smashing rendition of Paper Roses at the end - still must go down as one of the strangest songs for a football club to pick as their own.

They do that very well.

Doakes. At football matches in Turkey and some other countries there is a guy at the front of each section who leads or coordinates or conducts (choose as you wish) the singing or chanting in that area. The crowds make one heck of a noise.

If you have a speaker directly in front pointing towards you, rather than beside pointing away you get different volumes.

FFS even cowboy could have worked that out and he's deaf. [emoji14]

Say that again [emoji12]

Hello Hello We Are The Buddie Boys.

I think we stopped signing that around the late 80's early 90's.

Whatever happened to the huge black white and red one from the northbank that used to make regular appearances ?

Probably failed the strict (pointless) fire safety requirements.

Na. We need aconductor out front leading the singing at each section.  Simple.  Try it out for half a dozen games to see how it works.

Cheaper than taking a taxi ! The guys lead theantics of the crowd in the area they are facing.  Works brilliantly.

Alternatively put a drummer in every section.

Which will drown out the singing also.

They are wasted where they are.

Drummer and W7 spread into each section. Drum,  flags, singers.  One of them conducts the rest of the folks in that section to sing.  Solves the problem.

Anyone know what ever happened to the massive Sammy Browns saltire I used to see on Scotland away trips. It was a big stoater. Instead of saying "Remember Bannockburn 1314", I think it said something like "Remember Paisley 1877".

Used to fill me with pride watching it passed up many stands in foreign lands.

Is there going to be a banner with a subtle reminder of 17 March 2013?

And one with a subtle reminder of 1986.
