The trend is hospital numbers have hardly risen in the last week. Not so long ago, a month to be precise, hospital numbers were at just over 1,300. ICU numbers, which you always seem to overlook, have dropped over the last week. You seem to be overly concerned with this, there could be reasons, but the vast majority are trying to forget about Covid and living our life very close to what we did just over 2 years ago. Can you disprove the vast majority statement? Do you have to to Google everything? You're placing a misplaced comma in the "illiterate" bracket? Oh my, you are such a sad and desperate old fool, followed around by another sad old fool. Quite a team.

His eyes were rolling and he simply wasn't fit for work. His partner is as bad.Another of my team is off self isolating for 10 days as her partner tested positive and is very unwell. My volunteer admin worker is off as a close contact.Someone who attends our centre is unwell with COVID. His wife is in hospital with it.What I am seeing first hand would strongly suggest this is far from a harmless cold and far from over. Funny that. Also people in everyday life are getting on with life, barely a mask to be seen these days, although, until it's official, I still wear it where required. My post was also factual, as I said, proves next to nothing, only posted it to balance the "facts" as you see them.
Rascal
The simple and true facts are that numbers of cases, hospital admissions and cases in intensive care are rising. Clearly this puts more people at risk. The present variant hasn’t taken hospital admissions back to the highest levels experienced in the past….that is true. Doesn’t help those in hospital or ICU or perhaps those who are or will experience long Covid.

If they are fully vaccinated, they can take daily LFTs instead of self isolating. Maybe they just want time off.

They're definitely not in the latest self-isolation rules update for care staff from ScotGov.I'm not saying don't be extra cautious, and you can choose to go above and beyond if you want, but you can't really complain about staff shortages if you are contributing to them. Rascal
People are still falling victim to this virus. Flu also around. Neither is good to get. Some folks can’t go to work , some can’t go to games or socialise. Feel lousy with either one. Glad that the mortality rate has dropped. Has my own bout of Covid over the New Year period so was lucky not to miss many games! Still feel the effects now.
