Buddie Marvelous
How many games does Jordan Stewart need to play before he gets in the 1st team squad? Good point.

proudtobeabuddy
I'd start by giving Shankland and McGregor a chance at starting as the front two, Thommo should be used as an impact sub.
dr rotund
I think that Thompson would actually score goals if were getting in behind teams and putting dangerous balls into the box instead of the lazy long ball tactic which is too often employed. Sonny
We will never get behind teams with the starting 11 of the last few weeks with all crosses going into the box coming from deep midfield wihen Thommo has his back to goal. Morgan made a big difference on Saturday when he came on. I would start him and move Mallan in one where he would be more effective and punt either Howieson or Agnew. Playing Gallagher wide is also an option (Jimmy Nicol who had Gallagher at Cowdenbeath said Gallagher is better playing a bit wider and not as a striker) and starting Shankland with Thommo. Dibbles old paperboy
John Sutton isn't getting a game for St Johnstone at the moment - could be worth an enquiry about a loan move in January.

Doakes
Keepers: Langfield Defenders: Naismith Irvine Watson Webster Baird Kelly Cuddihy Midfielders: Goodwin Carswell Agnew Gallagher Cooper Howieson McMullan Gow Quinn Cooper Morgan Mallan Strikers: Shankland Clarkson Thompson Seems like we're very heavy on midfielders, lack a sub keeper if Langfield gets injured. Could do with getting rid of Gow / McMullan.. but bringing in a keeper, 1 more striker and a centre half imo.

Could do with another, though. Edited January 30, 2016 by Drew

Always thought he looked more natural as a wide midfielder, but yeah officially you're right. In terms of squad depth, think those are the areas we need to strengthen. Looking better though! Buddie Marvelous
This was our first team squad from August 2015... Langfield, Ridgers, Naismith, Kelly, Webster, Conlan, Goodman, McMullan, Gow, Thompson, Carswell, Howison, Mallan, Baird, Agnew, Morgan, McClear, Cuddihy, Watson, Gallacher and Shankland. This is our current squad so far... Langfield, Naismith, Irvine, Webster, Gordon, MacKenzie, Clarkson, Quinn, Sutton, Mallan, Gallagher, Gallacher, Hutton, Baird, Walsh, Morgan, McLear, Stewart, and Shankland. I feel this squad gives us more options and is more flexible than our last seasons squad. We should be strong enough to compete with Dundee united , Hibs and Falkirk and really go for it this season.
