    Precisely.
I've noticed the furious waving at hands, look-at-me-ness on his very own forum.
    It's amusing.

I have always, when tested, been drawn into answering some of his wanky pish on our Forum, because it was distracting from the often sensible discussions, excellent threads and very good posters we have in our ranks.
With him now unable to do that, I find him an easy irrelevance to ignore.

I ignore a series of other trolls who are so transparently and negatively not Buddies in any shape or form.  If they go into the same dark hole, I will probably not notice.

These days organisations all over the place are having to stop because of a shortage of volunteers and committee members. Fair play to SMiSA if they've managed to buck this trend and ended up with more committee members than they should have! They've been desperate for help for years and this will be the first time in a while, possibly ever, they've had a full committee, and now people are moaning about how the members have been appointed and the possibility of there being too many.
If people are just concerned that they may have breached their constitution then fair enough, however I can't help feeling reading the posts some people () have ulterior motives. If you're really that concerned about who is on the committee and how many members there are I'm sure you could put yourself forward at the AGM or offer to help before then. God knows why you'd want to as you'll just have your efforts belittled at every turn by folk who think they know best - the same with any voluntary organisation really. Plenty of people happy to whine about what is being done, sod all of them prepared to help out themselves.
I imagine if SMiSA do have too many folk on their committee it's just an oversight rather than an attempt to pull the wool over folk's eyes. It happens. In Dumfries and Galloway, there's a rule that community councils must adopt a constitution within 3 months of an election. Hardly any of them realised this until it was too late - even the council, who introduced the rule, didn't realise it happened. It only came to light when someone who had lost out in an election brought the matter up in a bid to cause trouble (although ironically that particular community council had realised what they had to do).
Thank goodness we don't have anyone so bitter and petty on here

I'm watching the Dolphins at the Bills. Three live NFL games back-to-back tonight on Sky.
Competitive sport with multiple teams still in with a shout... how many points are ra' Sellik clear now... and forever?
Time for another beer and to once more set Dickson to ignore. Yo ho ho!

I should also say Stuart, that although I disagree with most of your posts, I do still value your contribution to the forum.
If, however, you continue to be abusive towards the entire St.Mirren support, on a St.Mirren supporters forum, then I will have no option but to remove your account.
By all means disagree with everyone, that is the point of having a forum, but repeatedly labelling the entire support "stupid" is becoming tiresome and offensive.
Respect that others have a different view to yourself, and debate without the insults. Please.

I dont like the Old Firm colts idea, not one bit.
I think there would be a collective loss of heart from supporters if it comes to pass. I dont think they should be in the Betfred Cup either.

A great post bud. Fans will come and go from the membership scheme for any one of a variety of different reason. Being in our out makes no fan better than another, but every single person who wants the best for the football club is better than the absolute morons who insist on attacking the club at every single opportunity.
It's absolutely relentless. I honestly think some of these people genuinely hate St.Mirren, I really do!

I think fan ownership will be a great thing and bottom line is these are still funds that we wouldn't have if it hadn't went through.

What I don't agree with is people cancelling memberships in protest because they don't agree with a request from our chairman/ SMISA for use of the funds. All that will do is hurt Our football club in the long term.

Debate is ok mate. As long as people realise that at the end of the day the majority will rule in decisions like this. I voted to allocate the money to the playing budget, as I feel it would help the manager to bring in someone in that he feels can help the team. If the fans vote against this, I'm fine with it. Then again, I'm not trying to run the club from top to bottom for a £25(+) a month investment...

Yeah, as I say, he just thought things were going too well, didn't fancy Dumfries away on a Tuesday, so he just lamped someone.
    That's the only possible explanation.

For my first post ever on here, I'm not gonna read through the pages of pish written about the squad or individuals. Today I watched us lose and clapped us off the park. We did not deserve that. With a centre 3 instead of 2 in midfield, our pace and skill out wide, we're good. I turned round, complaining about the freekick being given against Jack. 2 seconds later my dad went "Wow Jack". He watched him punch the boy on the ground. That was at least the second foul given for their forward bending over and our centre half going over the top of him. Something must of happened for Jack to react. It's not excusable, but I want to see it. Cannot fault a single player for effort. Get Shankland, Walsh and Hardie out of there. A new beast in midfield, it's hard to find a Goody. But Mallan and Magennis in front of a Goody type would be brilliant. We'll finish above Dumbarton, Ayr and Dunfermline.

Our pup bit me twice today, both my sons bit me when they were wee boys. Pleased to say I never punched any of them
I get what you're saying bud but professional football players need to rise above that sort of behaviour or they become a target to wind up.
I just hope it was caught by the camera, it won't get us back the 3 points but it would be nice to see Miller get hammered for it.

    Was at the game.
Yes it was an idiotic response by Baird which ultimately cost us the game, a game which I genuinely believe we would have won. That was another much improved performance by the team, we are much more mobile, looking to receive the ball, getting forward faster, closing down opponents more effectively. and creating many more chances.
I wouldn't criticise any of the guys today (Baird apart).
A big well done to the support from our fans today, who appreciated the effort and can see the improvements that are perhaps not obvious to those who couldn't manage to the game. Yes we did lose and 3 points are ultimately all that matters but we are almost there and we will not be relegated this season
Mr Ross was again honest and forthright in his game review and will prove himself as the right man for this club.

Listening to Radio Scotland and Derek Ferguson was asked why Alloa are so good this season compared to last. Ferguson's reply is 'Jim Goodwin'. Goes on to explain what a great organiser he is and a total leader on the park. Constantly giving directions to his team-mates from his new central defence position and controlling what his team is doing.
Pity we no longer have someone like him.

Just phoned and cancelled the shirt - pre-ordered on 3rd of July at 13:21 as per the receipt and paid up front in cash.....only to be told to my surprise that the order was already cancelled on 3rd July at 13:30 due to no stock availability.....isn't that offset by the fact that it's a pre-order?!
Didn't even receive an e-mail or phone call from these diddies to tell me that the order was cancelled and instead they've happily sat on my £45 for the last 7 weeks. Was even offered 10% off my next order and a free £10 gift card as an apology and they were told to ram both as I have no interest in giving them any sort of business in the future.

It's all well and good saying St. Mirren aren't responsible for this shambles but they entered this contract with JD and ultimately it IS their responsibility to their support.

Was in Silverburn this afternoon so went into JD Sports there to ask about the strip. Here's exactly how it went..
Me to staff member (JD1): "Hi, wonder if you can help. Would you know when the new St Mirren strip will be on sale?"
JD1 to me: "Sorry, no, hold on 'til I ask someone".
JD1 to JD2: "The gentleman is asking about the new St Mirren strip, do you know when it's going on sale?"
JD2 to me: "Sorry, I don't know, hold on 'til I check the website".
Me to JD2: "The website will just say 'available to pre-order'. It's said that for ages. The St Mirren strips are only on sale in JD Sports in here, Braehead and Paisley, so as I was here anyway, wondered if the shop itself would know a date for it".
(Me, JD1 and JD2 are now looking at a monitor affixed to their 'pay here' counter. JD2 fires up the JD Sports website on it where it says 'available to pre-order' on the St Mirren page.)
JD2 to me: "Doesn't say on the website, just says 'available to pre-order".
(Me, internally to self): "I fcuking knew that and told you that already you daft chunt".
Me to JD2: "Aye, the website has been saying that for ages but St Mirren fans are having a hard time trying to find out when we can actually come into a JD Sports shop to buy a St Mirren shirt. That's what I wondered you might have heard in-store".
JD2 to me: "We have a 'release date' list upstairs in the office. Can you wait a minute and I'll go up and check?"
Me to JD2: "No problem, thanks for your help".
(I wait at the monitor on their pay desk while JD2 disappears... five minutes pass... I approach 'JD1' who is re-arranging racks of Sevco away jerseys..)
Me to JD1: "Excuse me, the guy in the blue shirt you spoke to was away upstairs to check on a release date for the St Mirren strips. Any chance you could buzz upstairs and see if he's had any joy? I need to head off and meet up with my wife. Thanks."
(JD1 speaks into a walkie-talkie type thing on the pay desk... JD2 replies, but he isn't upstairs, he approaches the till carrying Scotland shirts on clothes-hangers...)
JD2 to me: "Oh, sorry mate, I went up right after we spoke but there's no release date".
Me to JD2: "Didn't you think to tell me that when you came back down? I was standing at the desk here waiting for your answer!"
    JD2 to me: "Sorry mate".

Everything I've heard suggests JD will retain the contract, as they provide the academy with gear that other suppliers won't. Interesting to see how this JD shitfest scenario actually plays out under new club ownership. Ditch JD and you are maybe looking at a new kit supplier, a new primary shirt sponsor, a new airdome sponsor, the removal of large amounts of JD stadium branding, and another way to kit out the academy.
I see no reason to ditch JD - if the new owners can re-negotiate the contract to see kits on sale at St Mirren Park, have a nailed-down kit launch date in the summer allowing St Mirren kits to be on sale far earlier, and an improvement in quality control and stock issues. If JD are either unwilling or unable to comply, then it isn't much of a 'retail partnership' and hopefully they are subsequently booted into touch.

No promotion for us this season with that formation and those tactics. You can tear up your slips now.
I asked last week if the long aimless punt was a tactic or not. Someone queried Rae in the Uni about it and he said something about anyone who knows his teams knows that is not how he wants to play. So question for this week is, if that is the case Alex, why have we done that in the 5 games I have seen so far?
We have a back four that sit deep with full backs not allowed to cross the half way line. We play two wingers who hug the touchline and the two unfortunate midfielders (who are expected to make up for the lack of movement of the the rest of the team). The front paining stay up top all the time - neither drops back. The only tactic we have is for the back four to float aimless high balls to two guys with their back to goal and little support resulting in the ball immediately coming back. After 5 games Alex IT IS NOT WORKING.
Some of the players were totally shit today but I lay the blame not with them but with the formation and tactics and that means Rae.
Raith should easily have been 3,4 or 5 up at half-time. In the first half alone they had three shots direct into Langfields arms and twice the ball was eased past Langfield and also eased past the post. We were 0-3 down before we had a shot on target today. I still think we have decent players but the shit formation and the shit long ball will result in may more days like this one for this season.
