As has already been said, we've got to make the signing of Gogic a priority.
If we manage to finish above the Dons, the money gained should be used for that purpose.
He's even a standout at centre back.

Could easily build a team around him from the back.

Going to the Dons and we’ve agreed not to play him? Shoot me down now!

northstbuddie got a reaction from windae cleaner in Jim Clunie
Jim Clunie was probably the best centre half who has played for St Mirren in my lifetime.
He was also the most skilful defender in Scotland in his era but was overlooked for international caps because of the bias within the SFA towards inferior Old Firm players.

A decent performance against a strong, physical livi.
we pressed well throughout and Gogic was once again immense.
good to see we have found our fighting and team spirit again.
the two lads up front work their socks off to their credit.
just lack that wee bit of quality and killer touch.
things are looking positive although Alnwick will be a big loss.
just to add I thought Ethan had a good solid performance tonight being more positive in his passing and tackling.

Must be quite a few years since we looked forward to a visit to Pittodrie with hopes of at least a draw.
So let's not do it the usual St Mirren way - ie falling at the last hurdle..
It would be nice to finish above both Aberdeen and Hibs

As it stands, it's all set up for us to fall at the last hurdle at Pittodrie - behind Goodwin's duffers on goal difference - it's the St Mirren way.

A bit of a selection dilemma for the Buddies next season - with a fully fit Brophy and also Main in his current form, will Greive be able to claim a starting place in the team?
We may also sign another striker to provide cover for injury and to encourage competition for the starting role, assuming that we will normally start with two strikers.
Remember also that Robinson seems to rate Kieran Offord who by the way does not appear in the club's website for the first team squad - have I missed something?

Erhahon's passing ability could be a telling factor today - there aren't many other alternatives in this lineup.
Let's hope he is switched on this afternoon.

It’s hard to believe that Ethan is still only 20. I still think he has the attributes to be a top player but he seems to have hit the buffers, whether it’s due to attitude or coaching, it’s hard to say.
Maybe a fresh start and a new environment is what he needs. He’s been with us since he was a wee kid and it’s possibly gone a wee bit stale.
Would love to see him reach his full potential with us but it looks like he might need a move. Don’t know how happy he is with us??
Can Robinson get the best out of him? I know developing  youngsters is rightly one of his priorities.
If we can get a decent fee/sell on, it might be the best for both parties, but I’d be sorry to see him go as I’ve always had really high hopes for him.

Ethan is about to celebrate his 21st birthday on 9th May.
He has the potential to have a big career in the game - he has the talent but has yet to prove he has the same sense of urgency of a John McGinn or Kenny McLean.
If he could add that to his game we would be talking about a transfer value much in excess of the current £200,000 being talked about.
