But scraping a win against a part-time team (no disrespect to them) isn't really a result...It's a worry. It harks back to the TC days

I pay a pretty hefty price every year in my golf club fees.... but I can sign guests in and bring a mate to the club.
Sorry, I'm out. Purely a personal view, but when I harboured hopes of a supporter's bar being created in the void, I didn't envisage a 300 strong members only club.
No offence to the Fan Council because I can see what they are trying to do, but this just doesn't sit right with me.

A members only club where you can't sign in any of your friends in.
I'd invest in a membership if it was open to everyone and was a resource to generate funds for the club, but basically handing part of the stadium over to a clique of 300 people with the cash to put up front isn't for me.

What I don't get is that we hear over and over again that our Board won't sell to any Tom , Dick or Harry because we don't want the club to suffer any long term damage in the wrong hands. FFS , we're staring at terminal damage with them in charge if things are allowed to fester any longer !

I think Teale has done not too badly all things taken into condsideration, Like inheriting a load of duds that TC had brought in, Losing McLean, Injuries galore, the DOB's reluctance to fart a nugget etc. Jose Mourinho would have been lucky to keep us up if presented with the challenges that Teale has had to. The job someone does often depends a lot on the tools at their disposal.......

That's a bit of a harsh response to a man who has only done his very best to his ability, which unfortunately hasn't worked out.
Short memory of a player who once donned the stripes and was a major part of one of the clubs successful landmarks (17.03.13).
As i said, it hasn't worked out on the managerial side, though you can't blame him wanting to put himself forward to stay on, as its very doubtful he will return to playing full-time.

I hope JD Sports take a hit on this season's monstrosity. Do they honestly give some kit designer a colour scheme, a design i.e. stripes and let them get on with it!? I take it that the kit has to be approved by the club as well.......
Another area that would clearly benefit from fan involvement.

I'm not saying he should stay or go, but his position is becoming more difficult to justify with the results and the fact that there is a 'Tommy Craig must go' thread doesn't bode well.

Seen a few 'For Let' flats in the Sandstone Tenements on Love Street that don't look too bad, only thing is its near to where the stadium used to be. Tore it down but doesn't look like much is happening with the place. Even though Love Street was old, and parts of it a bit decrepit, I miss the place and it had an atmosphere that we just don't seem to have at St.Mirren park, apart from that its a nice, all be it, wee stadium

Oban 15 Years is a nice one (first real malt I tried after a visit up there a few years ago, and little to do when it a freezing cold and wet START OF MAY) Went on tour of distillery and had a few drams at the end. Jura Superstition is quite good, as is Highland Park 12 year old

We all make snap judgements of people within seconds of meeting them. That might be predicated upon social class, gender, race, profession, physical disability, etc.
We shouldn't feel guilty about making those snap judgements - that's a natural human reaction that has been around since our dawn. We judge people in order to consider them as a potential mate, threat, etc.
However, the problem comes when we vocalise these things and, as a result, begin to perpetuate a belief that ALL people of that colour, profession, etc. are set in the same mould. It's a battle we've got to face sadly. People judge us all in all kinds of ways. It's unfortunate, but it's a part of human existence.
That being said, if we then start saying vile or disparaging things to people with no control or justification, we can't rely on that as an excuse. We're just being an arse.

Might be best advised, yeah. But I've supported St. Mireen from afar for most of my adult life, so I can imagine I know what to expect...It'll be good to feel justified in having opinions. I'll feel like a legitimate fan!

Wont be making claims like we are going to be relegated, least amount of points before Christmas- BUT the past two performances have been bad and causes worry for what is ahead. Wont take anything away from Hamilton as they played to win and we didnt, but we should be beating the likes of Hamilton, but we didnt even give them a run for there money.
Also, the folk shouting for TC to be sacked, after two games it is a tad premature and continue to give him and the team our support, but also need to make sure that if anything needs doing, the BOD dont do there usual (nothing until the last minute, panic then decide to do nothing or something that has the opposite effect as to what it is supossed to)

Welcome, I would hang fire on getting the season ticket though, Come along to some of the games, see if its your thing and take it from there. Also check out some of the Pubs in Paisley that are frequented by supporters, Like The Tile Bar, The Argyll, The Bull in etc. Hope all goes well with the job and move

Junk food is cheap for a reason mate. If you are after a bit of quality you won't go wrong with the Buddie Good Food Trailer across from the main stand. The food comes from a very good local butcher none frozen. The tailor is spotless also. Always go there pre-match

Subjective matter of course, but while anyone is perfectly free to put the boot into JD Sports if they want to, it should be remembered that JD Sports couldn't produce the design into an actual kit unless the board of directors at the club, or a responsible employee, approved the design.
In case I stand accused of trying to massage my own ego with reference to the 2012/13 home strip, I consistently said that I liked last season's JD designed home strip, and I liked the first 'Fila' one they did with the collar. Neither of those were anything to do with me. I also think this season's Notts County home black and white striped shirt is a really nice, clean design. Simple and smart.
I wonder what the alternative designs were like that JD offered to the club for consideration. I genuinely have no idea why the custodians of our club looked at that and went 'yeah, cool - we'll have that'. They must remember the bib strip. They must know that shitloads of yellow screams 'JD claws into St Mirren big time'. They must have looked at that sponsor logo and thought 'fcuk sake, it's shit', and they must have known that red names and numbers on the back of that yellow, black and white barcode will A. Look shite, and B. Be murder polis for commentators who will (I guarantee Jim Spence will), start moaning about getting patches on shirt backs again.
The board must have known, or at least suspected, these things. Surely.

What it means, is the new generation of supporters wearing our shirt with pride, meaning more publicity for our great club and ensuring that there is less chance of them jumping ship to the OF or EPL as they get older. It also means revenue for the club and additional sales from other merchandise (potentially). It also means that some other mob will get my cash as the chances are he will want to replace the Saints kit I would have bought with a Liverpool one, or a Barca one, or a Scotland one. I'd say it does matter. What also sticks in my craw is the complete disregard of the views of the people who will be wearing it and/or buying it.

Is it just coincidence that the two clubs with the worst rating are both supplied by JD Sports. Maybe the shouldn't be called "King of Trainers" but " KING OF F**K UPS"

Goodwin was immense at the end of last season. Played like a captain and kept the heid. When he is like that he is an absolute must in our team.
However he is being discriminated against now and does not seem to recognise it. He must help himself by not getting into stupid situations but the club must also protect him from unwarranted abuse. But the bottom line is its Jim's responsibility otherwise he should leave not just St Mirren but Scotland if he wants to continue a career in football.
