What is it with Goodwin I wouldn't play him the rest of the season he is a liability and no example to the young boys

Perhaps it's a blessing that goodwins stupidity has come in the first game. The likelihood of him being dismissed must have an effect on the players around him that does not augur well for forthcoming games ( except for Wednesday as he's now suspended!) he is clearly a marked man and coupled with his numbnutness he surely must be left out of the side for the good of the team. Football is an eleven a side game. Someone forgot to tell Goodwin.

Ross County have begged for leniency for Jamie Hamill after his barge on Adams.
Well, well, aren't they such a nice bunch of people, so willing to forgive this act af needless aggression ?
Or maybe they want to minimise the length of Hamill's suspension because Hearts still have to play the other four clubs in the bottom 6.
Or am I just being cynical ?

Maybe it's time we got behind the team and supported them instead of being negative after all We are St Mirren and we've been here before . So let's be positive and forger about Lennon Out cause it seems like he's here till the end of the season.

I'd be very happy with Calderwood, he done a great job at both Dunfermline and Aberdeen, and he has the experience to get us into the top 6 next season and possibly Europe.

Well you say that, but I know at half time during the Hearts match he told the players to go out and hold on. Senior players stated the game was there to win. So, who knows what Danny was telling the players after the first or second Utd goal today. Maybe he was happy with a draw, lucky to be managing such a wonderful club and wasn't worthy of coming to Tannadice and getting a win at this moment in time.
He's a clown, with copy and paste tactics from the tele. Anything clever surely comes from Tommy Craig and even that is a phenomenal stretch of the imagination.

well here we go again great first half and 2 goals up job done. however the players as they always do switch off with ten or fifteen mins to go how many times have we conceded late goals . okay you can blame the manager however the players need a rocket up there backside. look back at previous seasons and its always the same as a fan you think great right up to ten mins to go and you just know we are going to lose. no point bringing teale on for 10 mins a player needs to catch up with the game. there used to be a good idea in football you play right up till the final whistle sadly for me our players don't . okay you can argue offside for uniteds first goal but the point is we sadly aren't good enough and if we go to the play off then the manager and players are all to blame . its alright saying yeah we were great the first half but it was all for nothing . being a stmirren fan is so hard and soul destroying at times but you know what we come back for more .

Dundee Utd 3 St Mirren 2 ? Is it just me or does anyone else feel that even at two nil up, with 10 minutes to go, only St Mirren could contrive to somehow loose that game ? I've been watching St Mirren for 40 years and I know the feeling only too well. As soon as Utd scored that familiar sinking feeling set in and true to form they delivered right on cue. That's a devastating result for us today, for morale, for league position, for confidence and for the club as a whole ? Danny Lennon has a massive task on his hands because Partick and Ross County seem to be better fighters than we are ? Gutted !

I was always a fan of Lennon when everyone said he should go but after today I think he`s lost it but it's too late to sack him what could a new manager do at this late stage we have to hope we can pick up points after the split

Can`t believe we are winning 2-0 with 12 mins to go and final score is 3-2 why do we always throw it away.I always defended Danny Lennon and thought he deserved a chance since he got us silver ware last year but now I think it's time for him to go

There are no circumstances under which I would ever boo a man who won us a Cup.
He will be leaving at the end of the season - I'm certain of that. Maybe he'll go beforehand.
Either way, as fans we need to display a bit more class and dignity in defeat.
The way the majority are behaving is embarassing.
Honestly you'd think relegation was worse than death.
Now i'm off to enjoy my Saturday night without you lot ruining it for me.
I've already forgotten about today's defeat.

As an exiled Buddie living in Leicester for some years now, it never gets any easier following St.Mirren from afar.
Think how you feel when you're on holiday and you're trying to find out the Saints score, relying on Sky TV, phone calls home, or texts from family & friends. Well, that's me every week!
Apart from that, I just miss the atmosphere of being at a game, and I look forward to the few games I do get to, or seeing us live on TV whenever we're on.
To try to still get some kind of football fix, I started following Leicester City, my local team obviously, and while never a replacement, is still really enjoyable.
I go to see them often, even been to a few away games, and got quite into it. Once I got over the fact they play in blue, it was fine. It's only a colour...
All my family & friends have been to matches too and it's usually a pretty bloody amazing atmosphere!
So, I thought I might write about my football experiences, following Leicester City, looking for news on St.Mirren and hoping for wins for both.
Updates on City's games, life in the Championship, my thoughts on what's happening in Paisley at the same time, that kind of thing. I'll see how it feels and write what might be interesting. Maybe at the end of the season I'll write a book, who knows!?
If you're not interested in it, that's fine, you don't have to read it! But I thought it might be interesting to let people hear about the life of a distant Buddie trying to get through the season with his adopted team, but as a still very committed St.Mirren fan. If nothing else, it might be quite cathartic for me to do it!! (Thanks Thommo...)
Any other exiles will, I'm sure, empathise!!
So, first game(s) this weekend. Saints are at ICT, Leicester away to Middlesbrough. A point for both wouldn't be a disaster. Reckon it'll be Soccer Saturday for me, and bitten fingernails!
Come on ye Saints, and Come on you Foxes!
