This morning I ordered up the usual Player of the Year trophy for 2017, and this year also our first ever Young Player of the Year which will be engraved and presented as "The Tam McGarry Young Player of the Year"
Voting for both opens next week.

I thought Davis was fantastic for us. A real leader and read the game brilliantly. Reckon, besides Celtic, he could easily walk into any Premiership side and that includes Sevco. His injury may be a blessing as hopefully he has gone off the radar of other Clubs. He maybe did not play that many games for us but he was a major influence in our resurgence.

Kyle's an incredible talent, all the moreso when you consider his age. His tenacity and strength on the ball, along with his quick feet, pace and composure when he gets into dangerous areas make him a huge asset to the club, and a credit to himself and his family. He has a massive future in front of him. Just hope we can see another couple of years at the Saints before he goes onto bigger things.

Harry Davis would have romped it if not for his injury , the best central defender we've had at the club since Big Jack ! I would just love if we could get him back next season , but I'm sure he'll be on a host of club's radar now !

Saint's superb P.A. man retires tomorrow.
He has been a great Tannoy dude and I wish him all the best for the future.
His greatest announcement which makes me smile was on the 5th October 2008.

    It was .......

" WHO PUT THE BALL IN THE RANGERS NET ? "

    " STEPHEN McGINN !!!!!!!! "

All the best in the future, Bud.

I thought he was a bit unlucky to get a red card yesterday. The second yellow card came in injury time and a few Dumbarton players had been let off with similar challenges and that was the same as his first yellow... both were bookable offences but I thought the referee was very poor yesterday in terms of being even handed (or maybe just keeping up with play). I think there was only 1 or 2 times in the 90 minutes where a Dumbarton player fell to the ground looking for a foul where he didn't give it and lots of timewasting was never dealt with even with a warning and he finished the first half (where there was a stoppage for an injury and for the penalty) before the 45 minutes had been played.

    None in west stand?
Is it the same in other stands.
Not really "family friendly" as we promote if people have to change there children on knees sitting in a cubicle.
Possible SMISA £2 fund if the club don't want to pay for it.

Webster was actually trolling the f**k out of El Alagui the whole time he was on the park. Aside from going in heavy on him, there was all sorts of stuff being said off the ball.
All done with Webster's trademarked deadpan nonchalance.
    A great effort from Webster.

Louise79 reacted to Mr Zo in Q&A Night with Jack Ross?
Just wondered if there were any plans afoot to have a wee Q&A Night with Jack Ross and Co?

Would be good to continue with bond that is forming between the management team, players and fans (that should maybe read 'some fans'). A chance to build on this 'we are in it together' attitude, which hasn't been present at the club for a couple of years.

Possibly the week before the Dumbarton game and they could bring along the cup (if we win it).

It has taken Jack Ross longer than I had hoped but I think something is slowly building at the club. If we keep picking up results and can catch Ayr in the next 3 or 4 games then it could be a memorable end to the season with some big games and much bigger than normal gates at St Mirren Park.

At the stadium at 6.15pm where I was the only one at the ticket office. 4 final tickets please. Answer we closed final tickets 6pm. Explained where I live came to the stadium early to purchase tickets. No you can't buy them stop selling at 6pm with no budging.  Went to the main stand reception and asked for Tony unfortunately he was with Jack Ross. So back to the drawing board. Understandi if there is a big crowd at the ticket office. I was the only one. Disappointed.

I think our chances of survival now seem all the more likely with these 3 teams in freefall . Dumbarton's result today with Dunfermline now makes it look like a 4 team battle for survival .
I know I'm very biased , but I'm pretty sure we're more than capable of catching at least one of them .

The guy at the start was hilarious, he used the bin to great effect, silencing the crowd and then orchastrating yhe crowd through three different tunes while using the bin as a drum and pretending it was singing the words.

    Great away day.

    From OS ...
St Mirren can announce that Jordan Stewart and Kalvin Orsi have both left the club on loan deals until the end of the season.
Jordan joins Annan Athletic until the end of the campaign, while Kalvin makes the temporary switch to Queens Park.
We wish them both well in their moves.

Louise79 reacted to Stoobs in Esmael Goncalves on way back
Goncalves is a legend in more ways than one. In April or May 2013, I alongwith another plain clothes cop, were sent to a report of a fight in a flat at Renfrew Village, think it was Mulberry Square. Went to flat, called for back up, heard loud noises within. Adrenalin pumping round body. Knocked on door and muscular, bare chested, black fellow answered door and was looking happy. Could have knocked me over with a feather. GONCALVES. Told him why we were there and invited us in. The flat looked like the end of a Saturday night in Club Slapper. Drink everywhere. Goncalves and 2 Portuguese fellows within. Turns out, Porto (I think) scored last minute goal to secure Portuguese league and the three of them were going mental, celebrating. We all laughed, I relaxed where he then invites me into his bedroom. Started getting nervous as he is a big boy but he then proceeds to open up a set of drawers where there were an assortment of replica St.Mirren strips from cup final, every player was there. All fully embroidered with the match details under our club crest. He then asks me to pick one. I took Thommohawk's jersey, thanked Mr Goncalves for his time where he invited me back to party after my shift where I had to decline. Went back to office, declared the gift and gave it to wee Saints mad boy in my street who burst out crying when he got the strip and it is still up on his bedroom wall today. Sorry for long winded story but good to remember a legend.
