On tonight's showing no. Missed a sitter (infact didn't even hit the target) and after that didn't even know he was on the park. Popescu had more runs at the Motherwell defence than he did!

Aside from a goal against part time Alloa McAllister has done nothing. Missed a sitter against Hibs that cost us the game and another tonight at a crucial stage.

He’s completely unproven at this level and I’m not sure he’s up to it. Certainly not yet anyway, maybe in a couple of seasons when he’s older.

Reality check for those who can admit it?
that was not Celtic's first choice team last night, and by all accounts Airdrie gave them a better game than we did. Didn't expect us to win, or even be close really. But the tactical naivety that Oran continually displays is frightening. That was the weirdest starting line up I've seen, and as soon as we needed a sub we are bringing on players who apparently have no place at the club?
its all well and good shipping out 15-16 players to save money, and try and recruit quality, if you can recruit it? Our new goalie, centre back and midfielder have been part of a team that's shipped six in two games, and we have nothing on the bench to worry them about being dropped.
can only assume that Anton is injured, and was never going to play last night or Saturday? Which begs the bleedin obvious question? Why the f**k is he taking up a squad place? Shouldnt you have someone on the bench you can bring on?
I have read, posters and even our managers comment that 'games against celtic wont define our season'. What utter pish! Does that mean Oran is up for surrendering the draw he got against them in his first game, and his comments after that?
the damage to team morale after such an inept performance will be harsh, it does matter how you lose! It also matters very much to potential targets you may be in for!
Do you think they would take more notice over a few comments on here questioning their worth, or perhaps be swayed elsewhere after seeing the level of performances their prospective teammates are capable of..?
Dundee have shown they are up for the fight, we struggled with Alloa, now an indifferent Hibs are up next, who have made some good acquisitions. This is a MUST win game for us given what follows on its heels. If Dundee pick up points on Saturday, and next week, and we dont? We will become detached at the bottom no matter what Hamilton do!

I know everybody deserves a chance and has to start somewhere, but I can't say I am majorly excited about Lyons or McAllister.
Lyons.........highest level he has played is part time for Coleraine in the Irish league. Big step up.
McAllister...................highest level he has played is less than 20 games in the Championship....Huge step up required.
They might be great, and I certainly hope so. We'll see.
I still think we need a bit of experience in there. Still to inexperienced in the creative areas for my liking.

Spot on (in more ways than one) on using up their luck.. I hope. We should be able to beat them.  They tend to lose first half goals.
Alloa have scored 4 goals in their last 2 games.  Two by Trouton (number 10) and two own goals by opposition defenders under pressure.
They have lost 3 goals.... All of these in the first half of games. Kirkpatrick (15) has been subbed in both games I watched.
Young number 19 is on loan from Hearts and  worth watching.  Midfielder (11) works hard,  tackles hard and distributes well.

I am absolutely raging at this decision to transfer Cammy to Utd.Our official Player of the Year last season.A 24 year talented player who made nearly eighty appearances for the Dons before we were lucky enough to have him at Saints. Our loss is most certainly Utd’s gain.OK says Cammy wants to play football and he cannot guarantee him game time. What absolute bollocks. We should be building a team around him.I am really really annoyed at this transfer which could have been avoided.I just say this why is Flynn still with us and Cammy gone?

Will be interesting to see how the decision to let Cammy go pans out... OK and Gus better have something special up their sleeves!
Cammy has struggled to adapt but in fairness he was told he wasn’t good enough by his previous manager when he was every bit as integral to the team as Lewis Morgan. Goes without saying a club like St Mirren doesn’t have technically gifted players often, when we do we should be playing a system to suit them, or... we could not play him/give him limited game time and punt highballs over his head and subsequently sell him for a pitiful fee to a potential play off rival!
    Your move Oran!

Shocked at Okeefe as I watched him a few times and he looked a very good winger with lots of pace

He was out injured for a few months and his contract came to an end but heard he's training with Dumbarton now which is a pity thought he was a good player

Are you not worried by a manager who sticks with a boy at left back who simply cannot play the position? The number of goals we lose from that side of the park is frightening.

The thing is, have things improved.
OK has signed 3 players. Ferdinand isn't fit though I'm certain he's better than others when he is. Hammill is another with talent but has had to be removed more than once due to injury/fitness. Jackson may be a good player but he lacks pace, seems afraid to go for 50/50m balls and is used badly by OK. We are no better in terms of points tally and can't hold on to a winning position. It is quite often a mystery as to our formation, players are played out of position and the substitutions bizarre. I am fast beginning to think OK is out of his depth and perhaps a transfer window might be wasted on him.

Coulson. Jones. Okeefe. Madsen. King. Cooke. Kpekawa all training with twenties now to try and push them out and I believe Madsen has walked out already

Guys I was at the game and was gobsmacked with the clapping at the end we got beat by a hibs team that were there for the taking in the second half and we won't get many of those opportunities in this league. I am also confused about the macpherson and Jamieson praise as macpherson was terrible and should have been taken off at half time and Jamieson got a run out but I'm surprised after watching this boy at the under 20 he has made it this far with his weight being his only attribute. Are we believing these two boys are going to save us? Also heard mullin out with broken knuckles and hayden and some other stubbs signings have been told to train with twenties from now on. Would you leave if you had a three year contract?

Don't know who's bright idea it was to have no ch on the bench but made space for erahorn and bentnar two boys that had no chance of getting on that pitch yesterday and I can't believe we don't have a winger or a player with pace

Sorry I have to agree let's take it one game at a time as we are still playing without a winger in the team and defence is still ropey in my opinion

Just saying in my opinion magennis needs to be in the middle winning the ball back and I don't think Flynn is quick enough on the wing at this level but that's just my opinion

Players playing out of positions doesn't help as I have said before were are the wingers as magennis is not a winger at this level
