That was a strange old night. We huffed and puffed and lacked quality again, against a very poor Cowdenbeath side. Similar performance to the Montrose game. To be fair, their young keeper was superb tonight and made 3 or 4 brilliant saves.
We were very lucky not concede a pen in the first half and Hemming was lucky to see his blocked kick not end up in the net. Jamieson was one of the few saints players that looked like making something happen and Cowdenbeath struggled with him and Olusanya running at them.
    Dunne off injured again.
I liked the look of Nachmani and could see him developing into a really good signing for us. He’ll be ahead of Greive in the pecking order. Still not convinced with  Mandron but early days.
A wee word for Zach Hemming tonight. Other than his charged down clearance, he played well. I saw him going over to greet his partner and baby at full-time. He looked relieved like the rest of us with the late win and his wee kid had a mini  saints top on. It’s not his fault that he’s not Carson (who we need to punt soon for a fee-can’t see him playing for us again and we need to move on). Hopefully Zach’s confidence and performances continue to build under the guidance of Langfield, like Carson’s did for us.
One minute away from going out the cup and a pretty poor performance, but we still found a way. Maybe our name is on the cup this season… 😜

I remember Johnny blues, he was brutal. After he closed the shop was a small cafe for a while with a couple of arcade games, got pretty good at galaxian and asteroids, must have been 82/83

No issues at all with this, I believe he's friends with Robbo and if it benefits the club then what's the problem..

    Yes nearby
Cowboy Valley was a bit of waste land as you went through from nellies just to the right as you went through the bridge a small hill with bushes and tall grass you came out onto Stirrat street just at Clarke n Hunters and if you got by the bandits unscathed. the Clarke n Hunter Guard dogs were waiting to eat you alive. do you remember them ?
Was always known as Cowboy Valley probably because savages were waiting to ambush you Apache Style

That sounds to me the place that was known as the cowboy valley, absolutely no idea how it became known as this..

We used to take our lives in our hands cutting through there too and from the shows at the racecourse, always a danger of taking a bushwhacking from the Craigielea drive gang...😂😂... Defo bandit country..

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Superb servant, are you for real???

Since 2014 he stabbed Lennon in the back as a player to get his preferred Tommy Craig in as Manager.

Then when he was our manager played ridiculously negative football over and over again that cost us a chance of 1/2 cup finals and a top 6 place.

Then less than 4 weeks after praising the board for backing him in January transfer market and for following his vision for the club disappeared to Aberdeen.

Not my idea of a Superb servant up to 2013 yes, after that nothing but a snake his downfall is an absolute joy to watch.

Montrose was our first competitive game. Contact with Montrose FC was excellent. They arranged disabled parking at the ground. Our own SLO Karen was helpful as always as were the local stewards. Local fans were friendly and Montrose looked at its best in the sunshine. Our journey up was in good weather but caught up in a thunderstorm on the way back. Lunch in Dundee was filling. TLinjs park is a tidy little ground. Stand was easy to access and comfortable. Toilets were small but clean. Pie stall had limited choices but service was both friendly and quick. Marks out of 5- 4.

Utter garbage, say what you want about these games but we should be going up there and beating teams like Montrose easily... Vast improvements needed..

Peter Godfrey, Scott Walker and Joe Shaughnessy theres about a 30 year gap between the 3 of there St Mirren careers, can only imagine it's a signed ball from hospitality at a pretty recent game or maybe a POTY event...
