madmitch reacted to pozbaird in That Goal!
Someone scored a screamer against Hibs at the 2021 FeegieField of Dreams. Can't remember who it was at this precise moment. Mallan's goal today is the best I've seen. It was that good that it will be talked about for years to come - like McGinn's v Oldco at LS, or Jimmy Bone running the length of the field v Aberdeen at LS, or NEWTONNNN! at Hampden. It was that good. It's in that sort of company. Take a bow son.

madmitch reacted to Sandy in Fiftieth Anniversary Third Strip For Season 2017/18
The current team are not fit to wear this iconic strip. This was St Mirren in their hey day with amazing players like Gilshan, Adamson, Kane, Adamson, Fulton, Duffy, Pinkerton, Blair and many more. The only times I ever seen a net get burst was when Adamson did it TWICE in a season.

I knew what you meant. Only losing 4 in a season is brilliant so I thought I'd share.

Not sold on the strip idea, but whit a f*cken team that was. The team that seduced me into becoming a lifetime supporter. Lost only one game that season IIRC.

Maybe some of the buds attacking your view havent realised we are fighting relegation, and Dun Utd are heading to the play offs?
had a good long think about these last three games and I think they will continue to play out as recent games have with the bottom clubs all losing and perhaps winning in their last three games. Big question will be can Ayr rally and swap places, or are they consigned to the basement?
our games are against three teams all fighting for something, Hibs wont want to lose on their title celebration day, they will be looking for exhibition football.
all things considered I think we will end up in the play off place.

Born Paisley, brought up Erskine (before it had a bridge or a toon). Then Bishopton, 1st flat in Paisley at the away end (Caledonia Road) last flat at home end Inchinnnan Road. Not that I was obsessed you understand. Then women got in the way. So Dumbarton, Bishopton again, Glasgow then Largs. Started watching the season that the Saints never lost (1967/68). Well it looked that way to me, in fact they only lost one game that season. Hooked ever since. Presently residing in Auckland, NZ.

How am I feeling?
In times like this with English words seeming so bereft of meaning I find myself turning to the continent.
As they say in France - Je suis shitting mes pantalons.

I'm not judging on players careers after they left the Saints but how they perfomed in a Saints shirt.
So...
Frank McAvennie
Doug Somner
Tony Fitzpatrick
Ian Munro
Frank McGarvey
Ian Ferguson

Robert Dawson. A defender that couldn't do anything that a defender is meant to do. We paid money for him FFS and were stuck with him for what seemed like an eternity.

I almost mention "oor Boaby" in my previous post.
One of the most rotten players I have ever seen......would he walk into our current team though?

I've always found it very frustrating and irritating that I can't like my own posts. It's galling as I think they are generally tremendous.
