On a more serious note. How can anyone find anything to complain about with this story (on feeshal website too)? The stadium corners need filled, this surely fills one. It strikes up a partnership with the Uni. It gives people discounts. It can surely be used to site advertisements that generate income. I presume it will be a modern technology affair capable of showing video, team line-ups with pen pics, birthday messages....
What's to complain about? Surely this is a good development?

Listen smart-arse, when referring to strips as "catalogue" it means that the strip is not "designed/bespoke" to the team wearing it other than adding their badge and sponsor to a pre-designed kit.
The Scotland strip is not a "catalogue" kit it was designed specifically for Scotland due to the numbers it will sell.
Last year St Mirren, through JD,Cabrini/Fila/Diadora, we had kits designed specifically for St Mirren or based on Pozbairds designs and a "special edition" shirt chosen by the St Mirren support. We wouldn't have that with any of the "bigger brand" manufacturers.

Doncaster was on the radio this morning bumping his gums about season tickets actually being slightly cheaper and Scottish football being excellent value for money because you can go and see Albion Rovers for 30 bob and a jam jar. Apparently clubs are doing everything they can to financially help out the most loyal fans etc etc etc.....
This is all very well, and to be commended in the most part (free child season tickets etc), but he failed to grasp that the most loyal fans will also travel to away games. It's these games we're getting f*cked over in. £56 for me and two kids to go to Tynecastle is a disgrace. Ross County away, £24 was it? ICT away, similar. I won't even mention the green bhigots (not that I would go there anyway).
For the first time in as long as I can remember, I am being forced into picking and choosing my away games, because it's just too damn expensive.
By all means offer as much support as possible to driving attendances and bringing in younger fans, but they have to take visiting fans into more consideration, with robust pricing guidelines. Without away fans, you usually have very little atmosphere. Without atmosphere, the game is not as attractive.

You are full of good ideas John, but don't seem to want to actually do anything at all except post on here telling everyone what they should be doing and carping about anything that anyone actually is doing.
10000hours is going to poll its members. That is going to be quite a key part of the way the organisation will work if it is successful in taking over the football club so I think it's perfectly reasonable for them to do this and test one of the technology models that are open to us to do this at the same time.
You can't really sit on the outside and slam the CIC and then start crying because you aren't being asked to contribute to decisions the CIC members want to take ?
You will now spin this into a them and us debate but the reality is that this is exactly the same way that SMiSA works.
