Scotland reacted to Edinbuddie in Andy Webster
Murray is a diehard Hibby, and once had '7-1' shaved into his head for a derby game against Hearts. He did play for Rangers for a short time, but I seriously doubt that he gives a monkey's about where players used to play when he's considering whether they would be useful signings.

Decent thread to be fair. Good effort all round. Took the trouble to create a themed username to match the content of the post. I give this 8.5 / 10.

Scotland reacted to Soctty in Another Long Season Ahead
We struggled a wee bit against Dumbarton, in midfield especially. Making three changes - including 2 midfielders - from the Rangers game indicates that Murray isn't sure of his best team in midfield or attack yet, and with so many new arrivals, that's probably not surprising.
Mallan has to start every week for me. Big talent and a fantastic right foot. We didn't get hold of the midfield for most of the match, until later on after we scored. Goodwin in there would give us a bit of bite and a bit of presence in my opinion.
Defensively the only real weak point we had was at left back again. Conlon struggling to settle in there, could do with being taken out, but we've little to replace him with unless a new centre back comes in allowing Kelly to revert to his previous position. so hopefully he improves as he settles. Baird and Kelly have been pretty solid, and Naismith also.
Morgan was probably our best player on Saturday on the wing. Fantastic close control and dribbling skills, and knew when to release it and when to put the ball into the box, unlike McMullan who frustrated me no end with his greed. Has ability, but that's no use if you don't release the ball at the right time. Or ever, as the case may be.
Up front Gallagher got little service, and Gow was back to his old self, although first game back after being out so I wouldn't write him off just yet. We improved in that area when Thommo came on as he gave us something to aim for when we wanted to go long.
More bite needed in midfield, and more continuity up front, and we'll improve in my view. Difficult to fit Goodwin and Mallan into the midfield I know, but both needed in my opinion, unless others step it up. Agnew scored another great goal, but seemed to try to hard without using much intelligence in the main, giving away the foul that led to the first goal. It's good to have options. The manager has to make it work,
Fans resisting the urge to wet their knickers would be a bonus as well. Kneejerk reactions aren't helpful. Give the manager and players a chance before condemning them as rubbish.

Scotland reacted to Big Yards in Another Long Season Ahead
Hibs had some decent players who weren't teenagers and had a board with the ambition to get straight back up. We have neither!

Scotland reacted to kevo_smfc in Another Long Season Ahead
From what i remember, Hibs got off to a really bad start last season, so bad people were questioning Alan Stubbs position so early. They went on to finish 2nd in the league, which was probably their pre-season target.
Give it time.

Scotland reacted to Magic Monkey in Callum Gallagher
This is the thing: we will only ever be a stepping stone. Whether we're in the Championship, or finishing third in the top flight (I know, I know), most players will use us to develop themselves and get a bigger and better gig elsewhere. The best we can do is to be the best possible way for them to develop (hence Murray's comments about the facilities being a great draw for players) and hope that we get the pick of the young, hungry talent.

Scotland reacted to djchapsticks in Callum Gallagher
So let me get this straight. We've signed a young lad who clearly has an eye for goal, is fast, is good in the air, seems to enjoy putting pressure on keepers at corners and loves being in and around the six yard box to get on the end of half-chances.
Is this St. Mirren we're talking about?!

Scotland reacted to bluto in Callum Gallagher
As noted above, he does seem to have an eye for goals and gets right intae where he should be, in a Thommoesque way.
I'm also perplexed. He is EXACTLY the home grown product that the new club should have brought through. Seems to be....
Is there no end to their madness?
One hopes not.

Scotland reacted to shull in St Mirren In The Petrofac Training Cup 2015/16
From next Season, The Scottish Professional Football League are hoping to add six more Teams to participate in The Petrofac Training Challenge Cup.
They will be the Under 20 Teams from the top six of the SPFL Premiership.
Not for me.
Why not get rid of the Under 20's altogether, bring back Reserve Teams and have a separate Reserve Cup, if they wish.
Leave the Challenge Cup alone.

And why should the Ayr United tie be chosen for TV..
And why are the BBC continually donating money in to the Ibrox coffers.
They have covered umpteen Cup Ties involving that 3 year old Club
It's a Public Service Broadcasting Company.
It should make no odds whatever Match they cover.
F*CKING DISGRACE !!
