I have some questions for the fans council which I think a few others might like an answer to, which is part of the reason I'm asking here and since the fans council is allegedly there in part to 'provide a good communication flow between the club and the fans' I hope for once they will get the information and let the support know the answer.
Why are Saints fans in the West stand being inconvenienced at the majority of home games with only 50% of the facilities being available to them ?
Why were season ticket holders not informed about this when the tickets were being renewed in order to get a chance to move ?
As the pay at the gate supporters aren't getting the same facilities as other parts of the ground, why aren't the tickets reduced ?
If this will be happening next season will the season tickets be reduced to reflect the reduced facilities ?

The more I think about it the more I see it as a glorified gang hut for an elitist clique to lord it up over a few others they allow to help fund their gang hut. I don't participate in any of their fund raising ventures because I don't see them as a fans council but more FOSMA II. For me a true fans council would take this to the great unwashed first and listened to their ideas before making a decision.
Anyway I'm a member of the best Saints supporters club in the world, there is no membership fee, it is open to all and it meets wherever there are two or more Saints supporters. I've had far too many great times in the pubs in and around Paisley and much further afield commiserating, celebrating, meeting friends and discussing all things Saints to join.

The decision at the moment is simple, you are either for fan ownership or against it. If you're for it then you will need to decide if you will back it or not once the full details are available, the same as the rest of us. If you're against fan ownership then you won't back it.
As I said before if you have concerns about the discussions or who would be on the board then you'd need to join SMISA and voice those concerns as they are currently the only fans group involved. But I'd think if GLS really wanted to he could buy the club himself and appoint whoever he wanted to the board, the fact he is talking with SMISA about the fans eventually taking over is a sign that he wants the fans involved right from the start and if SMISA are involved then they will need full transparency for their members to vote on. The only reason I'm not a member of SMISA is because I want any money I contribute to be ring fenced for the sole purpose of buying the club.
As for decisions by the current board, they have been made by the current board on a commercial basis in what they consider the best interests of the business and even though I've disagreed with some of them I accept I have no say in the matter as I don't own any shares in the club and even if I did I'd only be able to question those decisions at the agm.
Like the majority of us you could join SMISA, attend the meetings and get more information as discussions progress or wait until those decisions are made public.

I'm sure I read somewhere there will be a guest at the game an ex Saints and Bradford player. Would it be appropriate to present the gift to him to accept on behalf of the Bradford fans ?

So let me get this right, even though you're aware SMISA & GLS have still to discuss the details, you want to know those details right now ?
I would imagine the discussions will take some time, probably involving lawyers and legal contracts. If you want to know about the discussions as they're ongoing you would need to join SMISA. As for me once SMISA or GLS make the details public I will then make a decision whether to back the bid or not. At the moment I'm in favour, in principle and I'd like to hope that SMISA are capable of getting a good deal sorted for the fans. I also wouldn't have any real issues if GLS was to make a small profit on the deal as he would initially be providing the majority of the funds.

In the Alamo bar in Paisley, cowboy and Native American memorabilia adorn the walls where Robert Burns groups meet but how far do the links between Paisley and America really go? This documentary explores the Scottish influence at the battle of the Alamo and ways in which American culture reflected back on Scottish society a hundred years later.

I think it just proves that all the compliance office or the appeals committee do is watch the BBC highlights, listen to what the pundits are saying and go with that.

They really should get their story straight before the appeal, yesterday it was 'no contact' today it's 'minimal contact'. Neither of which really matters because as you say he led with his elbow and whether there was contact or not, it's serious foul play, how many time has a player sen toff for just raising an arm in the direction of the opposition or jerking their head like they were going to head butt someone.

It was a definite red, watch it again and you see him backing up with his elbow out and high, what else is he going to do ? If he was getting ready to hold a player off like he said his arm would be straight and low. McMannus should have red carded and the f**k did Lasley get away with only one
    yellow card ?

That's the way the board seem to be selling them, as a product, a business and we are treated as customers, pay up, watch, go home.
If the board want it to be a community club then they need to start communicating better than just a fund raising fans council and nothing said except when things are going well. They need to at least listen to us more and give us some sort of indication of their plans.
The BOD have to decide is it a business first or a community club first

I've looked over REA's posts on this topic and I don't see anything to indicate he's all over it or pulling any strings, he's made 4 or 5 posts out of a total of 290 made on the topic and apart from an offer of passing on some of his experience on the 10000 hours bid and a suggestion of possible funding has nor indicated in the slightest that he wants to be involved in anyway.

One of the organisations we should look for help from is Supporter's direct with their vast experience of helping fan takeovers and one of the members of SD Scotland council happens to be REA. Now whether it would be Richard involved or someone else wouldn't matter in my opinion but their knowledge isn't something we should refuse

I don't disagree with what you're saying but also I think we should be looking for an idea of how many fans would back this. One of the comments I kept hearing during 10,000 hours was 'What's it all about ?' even after the public meetings and details being on the internet a lot of fans weren't fully aware of the bid. If the club was heading towards administration then there would be plenty of free publicity and lots of people queuing up to join, but we're not in that situation. The SMISA vote of 175 members is hardly representative of the wider support and this forum is probably even less representative so we should be looking at ways of putting it to the wider fanbase through all types of media if only to properly gauge how much support there could be.
