Ah right get you now. Being a "close season" baby my 1st match was a 5v2 home friendly humping by Blackpool 1 August 1968. My 1st match attended was the aforementioned game at Fir Park.

The topic is 1st Saints game played after you were born and not 1st Saints game you attended.

The election had absolutely nothing to do with the independence referendum. Any comparisons that you are desperately trying to make are fabricated in your mind. There was no question on the ballot paper asking if Scotland should be an independent country. This election was about an entirely different issue. You have absolutely no idea if any UKIP, Conservative, Green, Labour etc etc voters would vote YES come September (no-one does). Like I mentioned earlier, I have never voted SNP but I would vote YES for independence so you are completely wrong to claim that anything has been "proved beyond all doubt".
I can only hope we do get a much better turnout come September as I find it quite embarrassing that we can't even muster up half of our voters to actually vote. What's the point in democracy if we aren't prepared to even use it?

You keep typing it if it makes you feel better but all political comment I can see following the Euro vote seems to suggest it was a good result for the Yes campaign. You can't have it both ways by claiming UKIP was a protest vote and hence can be dismissed when it comes to a general election but the result in your eyes sounds the death knell for Yes when it comes to the referendum. The truth is when it comes to the vote in September the Euro election will be about as relevant as the result of the world cup i.e. none what so ever.

Do you seriously believe the UKIP voters had voted SNP at the last election? Farage is a fascist and his politics have no place in this country. He was hounded for bring a fascist his nationality was irrelevant

    Really !
As for calling Salmond and Sturgeon muppets, what the hell does that make Alastair Darling who incidentally is the only one getting "benched". S&S may not be brilliant however they are by a long, long way the best politicians currently plying their trade in Scotland. That said the overall standard cross party is pretty embarassing with the weakness and fear in the No campaign been highlighted ever more clearly by the repeat returns of Cameron to try to bolster a flagging campaign. Labour appear to be like the cyclist in a tour de France breakaway who do not want to take their turn at the front. They are contributing virtualy nil to the better together effort which is more and more being taken over by Cameron and the London based Tories. Lamentable is the one emerging with the least credit from all of this - it's as if there is a definite No tactic to now keep her as far as possible from the front line (which is probably no bad thing).

Why would we do that - he's a contracted SMFC player he either comes back for the new season or Oldham (or anyone else for that matter) pays a transfer fee for him. We MUST stop this cycle of releasing / paying off contracted players.

That's hoofball a la Wimbledon circa 1985 - not exactly thrilling to watch and the game has moved on a fair bit with very few teams playing that way nowadays.

Lies, damn lies and statistics....I will trust what I see with my eyes week in week out - our central defence needs improving big time.

Mair freed by Thistle and their fans not bothered or surprised that he has gone. As I said at the time simply not good enough at Prem level. Still nedd 2 new central defenders mind but they have to be of a better standard than Mair (and Cheesy / McGregor for that matter). Lets hope he pitches up at Dundee next leaving them as good as a man down at the back from the outset.

WTF do you expect a person who has just been promoted to the top job after 4 years as assistant to be, miserable as hell ! FFS I cannot believe some of the pish being posted on here tonight. Just get behind the team and give the guys a chance. Any managerial appointment is a risk but this looks like a safe if somewhat uninspired decision. Some of the abuse on here is scandalous and personal and not warranted.
