Half his goals must be against us if i remember rightly. Full NI international and versatile position wise so can't see there is too much to complain about.
Who do those complaining realisticaly want us to sign - names please ???

    Bahoken ........... seriously ???
I wasn't slagging them merely stating facts. McLean is a great prospect but seems to get a 4-8 week injury every season then takes time to get back to form. Teale hasn't kicked a ball this season and at his age that has to be a concern. The main issues are at the back though.

As a whole team we are mentally very weak. We drop far too many points from winning positions and we seem to gain very little confidence from taking the lead which is very odd. It's almost as if as a whole unit they all expect to lose goals and as was highlighted at Easter Road even with a 3 goal lead confidence was very brittle. We go ahead, cant hold the lead and invariably the opposition equaliser seems to suck the life from us. Opponents seem to sense this and with such a fragile defence we end up falling behind. We also hsve a honking record once we go behind in games this season. Add all this to a squad being ripped apart and you get a very rocky ride of a season which looks like going to the wire. I'm not sure changing the manager with 2 days left of a transfer window is feasible but for all parties a parting of the ways at the end of the season come what may is probably now for the best. The board need to either put up financially or drop their asking price and get out. Yes prudence is wise but if you cant compete financially with the other teams around you (thats how it looks right now) then there is only going to be one outcome. I think its time for Mr Gilmour to put his head above the parapet either give us signings orctell us why not.

Couldn't cut it at the bottom of the Championship then failed to get a deal after a trial at East Fife. What the fuk is anyone connected to our club doing even contemplating offering this has been a job. I'm not sure that Gilmour and co would be so stupid as they must know how the support would react to such a signing.
ETA "in talks" surely the wee prick would bite your arm off at the mere mention of a contract at this level these days. Got to be total bullshit hasn't it ?

I thought Hearts plan was to play us on Wednesday to let Stevenson serve his suspension to allow him to play in the semi final. If he plays in the semi final the transfer window will be closed. I don't think he'll be leaving Hearts till the end of the season.

I agree wholeheartedly with Drew however we have also strengthened IMHO. We did not lose much in quality but have brought in Campbell who looks a real find when played wide, We also have Wylde with a decent pedigree - two positions we were crying out for. And perhaps a rejuvinated Bahoken. On paper he also has a decent pedigree and if his attitude has changed maybe he will surprise us all.
Disappointed we are a central defender down but the others disappearing is something I do not think we will miss and having two wide men will hopefully give a better balance to the team. And Teale should be back very soon. Things are improving

A realist? Aye right. You say that if you think we will win a game you will say so. Well, all I have ever seen from you is negative predictions. When was the last time you gave positive preduction? Your constant miserable and 100% negative approach on here is tedium of the highest order and beyond a joke. Perhaps if you learned to accept the little success our team delivers and that this has been the case for decades then life supporting our club becomes a little easier. If you have supported the club all those years then you should know we have more failures than successes.

Somewhat selfishly, I admit, that suits me just fine......I'm travelling up to Oban that night and can't make my favourite away fixture. The road to Oban is rubbish for MW reception and with it being on Alba I may well find a comely interpreter in the "gateway to the islands" that can translate the commentary.
Now all I have to do is avoid the score, in a "Likely Lads" type way, until 21.55

Seriously if we had 10 more Lee Mair's I would have given every team in the league one. We have to move on and sign better players than Lee. He did a job but he is hardly an asset to the opposition and if they feel he has improved their team it only goes to highlight just how shit their defence is. Mair was no better than the 2 holding the jerseys just now and wasn't getting a game so it made sense to let him leave. If Thistle survive and we are ultimately relegated it won't be down to us letting Mair go to them - something will have gone seriously wrong throughout the club.

So the PDE and The Sun suggested we MIGHT be interested in signing this guy with not a squeak from the club and he goes and signs for someone else not even in our country and the gnashing of teeth begins. FFS it's hardly the end of the world. Loads of time to go this window so everyone justs needs to take a deep breath and keep calm. Yes another holding midfielder will be required but it was never the top priority this window. We need to sign players better than those we have or have let go. That is not an easy thing to establish it will take time to get the right players in.

Nonsense. We have signed Wylde and Campbell while Thistle have signed Taylor and Erskine - to my mind Campbell will prove to more effective than Taylor over the piece and I wouldn't rate Erskine any better than Wylde so the signing of LEE MAIR means we have been "outplayed" !!!
Mair was of a very similar standard to the other 2 CB's at the club and we are working hard to bring another one in. We need to be signing better players than Mair to improve. Off the top of my head I can think of at least 17 or 18 players available for Saturday so why would the bench not be filled ?
