It is a fair question - I do know a number of people in the game and do get bits from folk I trust. Some bits I piece together so that can be a bit of a prediction as well ...

Having watched Ayr v Dundee Utd on Friday, I would strongly fancy us in any play-off.  The 2 of them were rotten.

We really need this much more than they do . . .  I hope our heads are up and we get right into them from the off - and for the full 90 minutes.
We need to contain their best players especially  Mallan, Kamberi, Horgan, Shaw, Gray and Gauld.
We need our guys to hit the target - Jackson, Lyon, MacAllister,  Cooke and maybe a CB at a set piece or a McGinn.

I can clear some of the untrue rumours circulating on this thread. I have friends who are involved within the game, one of whom plays for Inverness, and I can tell you they don’t pay any of their players what we are currently paying in wages or bonus money.
Liam Polworth is currently subject to a bid from St Johnstone and if they don’t up their initial offer then he won’t be signing for them.

Oh for christ sake. You don’t need to be privvy to transfer negotiations to see that we are struggling big time with our negotiations.
We were told we had a long list of targets all studied extensively all across Europe - quite clear to all that we are really scraping the barrell at this stage.
ETA - I am not doubting the club are trying to bring in players... however, do you get paid on effort or do you need to be a little competent at your profession as well?

Indeed. Paper talk by the club and as I said months ago we are taking a stab in the dark and hoping for something similar to January 2017 - the main issue is we had an exceptional manager then.

Admittedly a game we never expected anything from but watching any St Mirren team roll over like that is a disgrace.
All this chat for months about giving OK time with his own team, he should be capable of coaching players to do basics at the bare minimum. We’re now entering into the territory of it no longer being Stubbs’ team and we are still making the same basic errors we were in September. Concerning.
Finally, it’s time for 3/4 genuine quality players with a bit of fight - not faffing about with loan deals for Right Backs when we have 2 already (ironically 2 of our better players!)

Shocking performance tonight.  We offered literally nothing from start to finish which isn't good enough - even at Celtic Park (even Airdrie managed to get 5 attempts on goal against them on Saturday).  Hopefully we'll see some much-needed investment in the squad this week.
