BuddieL reacted to Kendo in John Collins
It is laughable. Dundee Utd were beginning to mount a challenge so what did Celtic do ..................... Aye that's right they signed all their best players. They are the problem.
ETA good thread Shull (for a wee change).

So you want 9 more signings?
Yeah, chances of that happening are zero.
GK, Centre-half, Centre forward and another wide player will be our whack. And rightly so. I'd rather we did blood youngsters and stay down for a season to rebuild and recoup, coming back stronger in the future than go for the quick fix that has killed so many clubs' ambitions in the past.

Only an idiot would turn down having either back in the team now

Offered a deal at Oldham Athletic. All the best to the St. Mirren legend. Great level of football in England to test himself at.

BuddieL reacted to TediousTom in New Goalkeeper Won't Be Langfield.....
Thats a bit insulting to those of us who celebrate our tedium a bit insulting indeed.
Perhaps phrases such as "sad individual" or "appear to be of a mentally challenged disposition" or "utter halfwit of pretend Motherwell fans proportions" or "whoop ding, catch the pigeon" would be more apt when describing the drivelling mind numbing and completely uninteresting rantings by the original poster.

So it's actually easier to buy a Celtic top at our ground than our own strip!
Why couldn't they just set up a merchandise trailer?
Div, the forum might go into meltdown....

BuddieL reacted to class of 76-77 in John Noakes
That's really sad to hear as anyone with a loved one suffering from Alzheimer's will tell you, it's a devastating condition. Let's hope he's found soon for the sake of worried family.

May I take this opportunity to welcome you to the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co first team playing squad.
May I also wish you the very best of luck in this endeavour and I sincerely hope that the move to full time football proves to be a highly succesful one.
May I also point out that you need to get your form into the fans council asap if you wish to join the 1877 club as I am sure applications will be rolling in and you do not want to be left sitting next to Stuart Dickson who will only join in order that he can complain about it.

BuddieL reacted to pozbaird in New Kit Spoiler Alert
I actually thought the King of Trainers shield looked OK - cos' it's all just black and white which very much helps tie the logo to the shirt itself instead of looking glued on as an afterthought.
Looking at the kit again, what is really nice is a white V with black collar, which is reversed with white sleeves and a black edge.
Well played JD and the Fan Council. Deserved applauds.

BuddieL reacted to Seaside Nipper in John Mcginn Sues Saints
I think he's probably quite right tbh. If something along those lines happened to me or anyone else for that matter, you'd advise the same course of action be taken.
Brings to quite a sad end a dismal period for a guy whom, for a while was a fans favourite and a decent prospect, now , it's all up the air , and I'll venture that as far as Johm M is concerned, it's all the fault of a St Mirren spearing incident, irrespective of his dip in form months before the incident even happened.
Bye bye......

BuddieL reacted to djchapsticks in John Mcginn Sues Saints
Totally out of proportion. If you had an accident at work, you'd claim compensation as well. That's why St. Mirren, as a business, pay insurance premiums every year. It won't hit us financially.

BuddieL reacted to Rabinho in St Mirren Signing Tactic
Does anyone else think we've not signed anyone yet because the season is only just finished and we've only just appointed a new manager who by his own admission is still to speak to a few of our players(therefore we don't know who will accept new deals, pay off etc).
