It's fairer to say that customers are usually incredibly selfish, self centred and ignorant or uncaring about how difficult things are for those who serve them.
Add unforgiving into the mix and you've got a recipe for stress, unhappiness and crap.
There are millions of examples.
You can find many of them on this forum by searching for the word "simple".
I can start with the whining about the lack of a signing of a centre back.
We already have at least 4 at the club who could play there.
The best way to protect our defenders is to have a stronger midfield and strikers.
I'm prepared to bet that if there's a player better out there than the defenders we have that they'll be :-
1) More expensive.
2) Wanting longer contracts.
3) Wanted by other clubs prepared to go into debt to get them.
In the absence of a better CH which we can attract and afford, Danny has tried to bolster midfield and attack and he's STILL gettimng shit from people who have absolutely no idea what that man goes through just to get a single player to sign.
You could stop that third one by introducing a law preventing financial doping but until then we have to accept that we will always struggle to get the best players.
Many fans like you, Lex, JJ, billyg and many others are simply not willing to understand and accept the current state of affairs.
You resort to whining and negativity which transmits from the forums and the stands into the changing rooms and that affects form.
How do you resolve this?

A guy who earned a very tidy sum of money from our great club is getting lauded on here and in other social media outlets as some great servant to St Mirren who was very harshly treated. Not convinced. I can't recall too many games in his time at the club where I have came away thinking 'Lee Mair played a blinder today'. It seems like the longer he has been away from the starting 11 the better he has got in some people's eyes.
Maybe a nice guy but that didn't make him a great defender. Maybe a few of his Herbalife and Meta fit buddies posting with tinted specks on. He will be punting his Herbalife gear in Partick by the end of the weekend.
Danny didn't rate him highly enough, wanted one of higher paid players who wasn't always fit off the wage bill. Life goes on. It's just a shame it's taken 6 months for the management team to move him on. We will cope without Lee Mair. Danny and Tommy will have someone lined up to replace him.:-)
It's best for all parties that he moved on.

Return to passing game, return to 4-2-3-1 formation with Newton and McLean as the 2, and Campbell, McGowan, and McGinn up with Thommo. Have the under 20's play the same formation and tactics so that players progress to 1st team already knowing what's required. Return to black and white stripes with white trim and only change if playing away from home against a similar strip and finally return to winning games, preferably by 2 or more goals.
Any manager doing all of the above should have his contract renewed and extended.

Two seasons ago we were playing some of the best football I have ever seen. Not only that we had our highest top league finish in about 20 odd years.
It was fantastic and sure we made mistakes and got punished but that was Danny's philosophy his way he feels the game should be played. I agreed and bought into that.
Start of 2012/13 season Danny comes out and says we are developing a different method of play (direct to Thommo) to be able to mix it up when needed. We start the season the same way we finished the 2011 season and we have a couple of bad results a minority of fans moaning about our passing strategy wanting more urgency. Then all of a sudden we are playing the style of football Gus had us playing and Danny did in his first season. Rubbish
Now we are season and a half on and despite the change of style we are worse off in league position and entertainment.
So Danny if this to be your last season with us please revert to season 2 philosophy and get back to the patient, possession passing football that we had and if we end up in the playoffs then so be it we gave it a go and did it with style. It was successful for us two seasons ago it can be now?

I'm sure everybody on here wants the very best for our club, but few can agree on what that is. I have supported DL so far though I admit to wobbling at both Kilmarnock games and the draw with hearts though I do think we were a bit unlucky. The problem I have with those who would boot Danny out is who would come in instead. Kilmarnock have replaced their manager every time the waste paper bin in their office is full and last time apparently secured the best young manager in Scotland but they're no better off than us. how would our fans react to having Paul Hartley as boss, would we get excited at the arrival of Jimmy Calderwood?
The time to get rid of DL is when we have a better manager lined up and at the moment I cant think of a manager that is better than what we have who would realistically come to us.

Of course you don't have to play this formation or these players, it's just my preferred option, I'd still be happy if you played Mair instead of Darren or cheesy and I admit Goodwin adds bite to the midfield but he's having a wee run of poor games.I'd be more than happy to drop Reilly if Teale was fit or you saw something in training that suggests that caprice would be a better option. The only thing I really insist on is that you stop trying to put Harkins and Gowser in the same team. Harkins may still turn out to be a good signing should Gowser be unavailable in January but they can't play together.

For all those baying that McGowan should get the jail, is it safe to assume that you have been appraised of the full facts of this situation?
As for the line that he pleaded guilty etc., WTF else was he likely to do? Any solicitor worth his or her salt would have advised him to plead guilty in the circumstances. Let's see....
He was charged with police assault, presumably the principal witnesses were police officers, and he has form in this regard. Oh aye, of course he would be pleading not guilty!
Now here's a thing, and I'm only putting this out there as an alternative twist. So McGowan has a previous conviction for police assault. He won't be popular with the local constabulary, one wouldn't have thought - not if he has previously assaulted one of their own. Made himself a potential target for special attention? A soft target, even? Perhaps it wouldn't take much to make a wee example of the guy. Just saying like....
Now, let me reiterate, I am NOT suggesting that there is anything whatsoever in the above scenario, but need it be any less plausible than an alternative scenario (equally invented, on the basis of no factual backing) that would justify calling for the guy to be jailed and sacked? A few folk a bit quick to judge on here, in my humble opinion.

I thought the midfield worked their arses off yesterday, McLean and McGinn we're outstanding going forward in the first half and all four buckled down to defensive duties when needed, I just couldn't see us taking any of the four off even if we had a fit Teale on the bench, much as I admire Teale.
