Langbank reacted to Lord Pityme in Poll: When Will Oran Match Alan?
Again posters need to actually think what they are posting, and about who!
were Jones, Edwards and Cooke duds on Saturday? Isnt it about time supporters started to support everyone in a St Mirren jersey?

Langbank reacted to Lord Pityme in I believe Anton
Watched Saturday's game on the telly, just couldn't muster the will for the six hour round trip, rain, bigot infestation and the eventual final outcome. What did hit me between the ears though was the programme on sky before the game 'SPFL Matters' where Boyd and Commons were interviewing big Anton.
The as you would expect they were on about being in Rio's shadow, playing in the EPL etc, but big Anton put them firmly in their place when they did eventually get onto talking about St Mirren. They asked him something like 'how frustrating/demoralising is i, when your teammates just arent up to it?' He chopped them down straight away by saying very clearly 'we are all frustrated, but at the business end of the season, when there are others round about us, WE WILL stay up!'
having seen how Erhahon, Jones, Edwards, etc got on, I Believe Anton.... i think despite the now monotonous, feeling sorry for yourself, excuse ridden drivel being peddled by some about 'Stubbs Duds'. We already have the players, quality, desire and passion in the squad to remain in this league, and that will start this weekend in Dundee. The squad can go there with their heads held high to get a win and push Dundee down below the surface.
We will start to claw our way back in Dundee, it will be a long, bitter hard fought battle till May, but I believe Anton will lead us through it, and show his qualities in leadership, professionalism and team work. Youre not going to hear him whingeing about his teammates! A lesson a few others should take!

He actually played ok in that game albeit against reserves. Made 1st goal with a cracking pass from own half. He also did well with high balls. Needs to strengthen up for this level. -

To 'match Alan' would Oran not need to sign 11 duds out of 11 signings, blow most of the season's budget on players not up to the job, ostracize the squad he inherited, appoint a clown of a first team coach with 2 previous relegations under his belt, moan about the board and his budget all within a manner of a few months and then get a pal on BT Sports to blame everyone but him for leaving a mess behind him?

Morelos, probably quite rightly, took dogs abuse from the St Mirren Fans ( I was one of them) When he scores and gives me some back then I deserve it. He certainly does not deserve to have objects thrown at him.
Chris Boyds celebration when he scored the penalty today was hilarious having obviously taken dogs abuse from the Aberdeen fans, Unfortunately some fans can dish it out ( thinking having paid their £20 odd quid they can do what they want) but can not take it!!!
Paying to get into a football match does not make you above the law nor does it make you being a complete arsehole acceptable. Unfortunately thousands of football fans don't accept that.

Langbank reacted to Soctty in First "Quarter" Report - Could Do Better?
On the manager, he's been in the door about ten minutes - we need to stop ourselves getting into the cycle of writing off managers if they don't perform miracles from the off. Personally I am always in favour of giving a manager time to put his stamp on the team. Most of those we've appointed have had time quickly to wheel and deal, with the notable exceptions of Jack Ross, and now Oran Kearney, who have both been left with months to deal with someone else's mess in terms of personnel.
Difficult as is, we need to get behind the manager until he can get rid of some dross and bring in his own men, and only then will it be fair to really judge him. I'm aware I'll get the replies that he should be making a difference to the players, which has some merit, but when we've seen players down tools for one manager, is it any surprise that some of the same guys seem to have no heart for fighting on another's behalf?
