How does that help anyone feel welcome?
People come or not entirely for their own reasons.
Nobody needs to justify the self and everyone should be made to feel welcome... Even if it is only for a cup final.

In 2013 I bought 6 tickets and brought 4 neutrals to join us 2 ST holders.
    They were not glory hunters.
They came along and supported Saints at my request.
Many people attend games like that for nostalgic reasons. They are no less welcome.
A large number of fans return from abroad for such an occasion. Hardly practical to watch a league match but wholly understandable for a special occasion.
Rather than label them glory hunters, I'd simply welcome them to the fold.

Why wait till 3.05 yesterday before tweeting his apology. This should have been done, including his resignation,
before the arrival of the opposition.
If he went through the interview procedure that SMiSA have in place it needs to be reviewed.
He will no longer (if he ever  had) have any authority within the hierarchy of football
I am disgusted that a Chairman of St Mirren Football Club has stooped so low to even consider
    making the comments he did.
He must go immediately to stop the media attention he has brought on us.

Hard to understand why he makes these utterly embarrassing tweets.
He seems unaware that they make him look, and sound, a bit of a moron.
There's no defence and with the clubs summer of embarrassing blunders this is the last thing we need.
Should he go, aye, won't be missed, we don't need this element at the top of our club.

The cause of the outbreak is totally irrelevant. We were not punished for having cases of C19 that's almost a given. We didn't follow the protocol designed to prevent the spread once a positive case was identified. Whether the spread was directly attributed to the breach is again irrelevant. Not really sure what people can't grasp here. All member clubs signed up to follow defined protocols. Saints for reasons so far not explained decided not to and a consequence of that was we were unable to fulfill 2 fixtures. People unwilling to accept we did wrong even after the club plead guilty is just bizarre. No matter how stupid anyone thinks the rules are, we as a club agreed to abide by those rules. We didn't, the club got caught, we then admitted that at an enquiry and have been punished.

We are being punished for failing to implement and follow SPFL protocols.
A consequence of players testing positive for Covid is that we couldn't fulfill fixtures due to a small playing squad. This lead to the SPFL investigation where we were found to have breached the prescribed protocols in several areas.
You could argue that clubs with large squads will less likely be investigated as they are more capable of fielding a team, if they have Covid positive players.
Having said all that, we have been found to have f*cked up big time.  Take our punishment and move on.

Really not sure where to start with this terrible situation, so please excuse this rant. It’s not complete, but in no particular order ...

If we broke the guidelines, and seems we admitted this, then we cannot complain about the points deduction and fine.
Sanctions should have been agreed before the season started, but as they weren’t there’s no room for complaint.

Losing 3-0 to Well could easily have happened had the match been played, but not against Accies, certainly not by 3 goals - I think we’d have won or at worst drawn that match, so that hurts.

Hopefully having points awarded to those clubs can be turned into motivation and galvanise the players to get results we need.

The club also loses out on ppv money from these 2 home matches. I’ve no idea what that’s worth and perhaps we were lucky it was those teams, probably not costing us as much than it was some others.

There needs to be an internal inquiry at the club to discover why the guidelines were not being followed. Although given the recent appointments, this may already have been done.
We need to ensure this does not happen again.

I do not like the suggestions on here that Kibble are to blame. They are a thoroughly professional outfit and take their image and charity status extremely seriously.
In fact, I’d like to see them have more involvement and oversight on all matters, including “football”, rather than less.
There’s no doubt in my mind that the financial issues came to light because Kibble were questioning the nature of some transactions.
Their input can only help raise standards at the club on and off the pitch, something we’ll certainly need once fan ownership is confirmed.

To end, we need to take the punishment on the chin, put this sad and damaging episode behind us and get behind the team, starting with the Dons match on Saturday.

    COYS !!

That vote was for action resulting from a postponement NOT as a consequence of a breach I.e. a club has a postponement due to Covid, that automatically triggers a SPFL enquiry which in turn results in a verdict that the club had followed every measure they signed up to and hence the postponement was not caused by spread via non adherence. I'm not sure what folk don't get here. As for your earlier question about who decides we broke rules, need two buses etc, read the 15 page deliberation before posting nonsense. The outbreak triggered an NHS MIT report. They through questioning club employees established the facts. Same would happen with any outbreak in a workplace. The club has royally screwed up here. We need to accept that. We signed up to follow SPFL protocols not SG protocols. Social Distancing rules were crystal clear for all situations including bus travel. And the club have admitted we broke all these rules yet still some supporters won't accept it. All we can gripe about is the severity of the punishment.

Ok, I can't be arsed reading a 15 page document just now so the answer to this might be in there somewhere.

From what I can see, from this thread, we have been found guilty of (ok, admitted to) not complying with the "covid rules". The fact that games were postponed is a side issue. Does that mean that if a club breaks the "covid rules" then they will be punished with a 3-0 defeat even if they didn't have to postpone a game? If, for example, sevco win a bigot derby but are later found to have breached the "covid rules" in the days prior to the game, will they be punished with a 3-0 defeat in a game that they won? It's just a hypothetical question.

If the postponements are the relative factor, then a bigger club, with a bigger squad, could theoretically breach the rules more, have more infected players but still be able to field a team and so escape punishment?

Like it or not, economic factors have a direct correlation to human life.
Just because the lives it affects aren't lives that may be ended directly by the virus, doesn't mean that they are in any way secondary.
Tell the small clothes shop owner that being forced to close down mid November, potentially until January that it's 'only an economic' issue that means they'll have no means of income for a minimum of 6 weeks at what would be their busiest time of year.
Tell the sole trading hair salon, barber, beautician or nail bar that had adhered to the rules to an absolute 'T', that they now cannot trade at a time of year where they would be their busiest and now have to close up, despite spending their own money to ensure that a thorough distancing and cleaning process is in place and they are working a very strict one in one out policy. But the fact that they now cannot trade through no fault of their own and despite there being no evidence of  their industries being a factor in the spread....tell them it's 'only potentially an economy issue' when they are sitting pratted, worrying how they pay rent, keeps things running, bills paid at a time of the year where even in normal times, suicide rates skyrocket.
Economy isn't secondary to human life, it's a massively integral part of human life. Finance, or lack of it is one of the absolute largest factors in mental health issues and suicide. It's naive at best to suggest that T4 restrictions at this time of the year is only going to have an econmical downside and there won't be any human downside directly tied to that.

    I love the club.
In a previous existence, I was a union rep and would sit in on meetings as a support person for members going through a disciplinary process etc etc.  I would be fully aware why they were there and quite often I would advise " You can't defend the indefensible. Sit and take your medicine. "
I am making the rather wild assumption that the SPFL investigation process and outcome will be fair and transparent. But do fear that the club will be made an example of, IF they have breached covid protocols.

Unless you are testing 100% of the population all the time, you really don't have any CERTAINTY as to what is going on.  Anything less, introduces margins of error. As a generalisation, this is dependent on the proportion of the population being tested. Smaller proportion being tested implies bigger margins of error and less ability to make accurate predictions.
Most deaths will have happened at the start of the epidemic. Unfortunately those most at risk have checked out already. Admittedly, conjecture on my part.
I do think there is a kind of muddled "strategy" with a gas on / gas off lockdown policy.  Hence the eat out to help out in August followed by the current screw down "tiers".  It is an attempt to spread out future deaths.  "Flatten the sombrero" - remember that ?
