They're an understandably angry set of fans just now. Maybe they need a scapegoat.

Ok. Short memories here. Jack went for Barnsley then Ipswich popped into Sunderland on an off chance. He left us high and fecking dry we panicked gave the club to Stubbs. Ross could have stayed showed his true talents that i have to say havent really surfaced with 19 draws and the biggest budget by a mile. He took a chance left us in shit so with Shull on this one

Jack Ross wasn't simply offered 5x his salary by bad old Sunderland. He applied for the job. Then was interviewed. Then agreed a contract, and only when he was all set to be unveiled as Sunderland manager were St Mirren told of developments. Meanwhile he was telling the Scottish press he had a job to do at St Mirren and was looking forward to having a shot at breaking into the top 6. Folks at Alloa seemed to know before our chairman and CEO.
I for one was amused to see Jack looking and sounding humble for the first time I can remember after Charlton won the play offs.

Hopefully  at least match Hamiltons result on Saturday. Beat Hamilton then we'd just need to match Hamilton on the last day. Could even lose to Dundee  if Hamilton  only manage a draw....I think anyway.

Yesterday I had a remarkable 85 year old at the game who watched Saints regular in the 50's and early 60's. He always aske's me about Saints. So I said I will take you to a game. This 85 year old got the overnight Thursday train to London to be a speaker for a fellow Golfer funeral. All his expenses were paid. With no hotel he came back Friday night again overnight train ( he wanted to keep costs low )  and be back for the St Mirren game. I thought he will be too tired 85 remember. There he is with me for the 12.15 ferry what a man. After the game we went to Elderslie Golf Club he wanted me to see a large Cabinet dedicated to him as he was a special local golfer who was invited to the Masters in America but could not afford the expense of going out there. No sponsorship in these day's. After the game which was not a classic he said what a goal going on about it. He said Ian you know what surprised me. What Stuart ? The Fans what a support they are fantastic getting behind the team. He went on they sang in my day but not like that. Took him home lost his wife 3 years ago. Got his own flat I got invited in for tea. Kept thanking me , how can you not do something for a fellow Buddie. Went home with a lump in my throat wishing my own dad was still here.

They have won the FA Cup in 1973, and eh hold on , oh yeah they beat Newcastle quite a lot.............
If you watch the documentry on Netflix you will see they have virtually no budget, they still have players on high wages depite losing that prat on 70k a week..................
The English game outside of the land of tax avoidence in the EPL is in a bad way, Bury have winding up order, Bolton and Blackburn over 100m in debt, Villa , Birmingham also in a bad way............................ and if Leeds dont get promoted have warned of huge cut backs ..........................
Bournemouth and Burnley prove that you can stay within your means and have relative success  

why does everyone care so much about what supporters of a team in a different country think of a player that doesnt play for us anymore
