stevie-dee
So Danny Lennon sees him play behind the main striker for Hamilton and decides to spend a few bob to buy him then having done so proceeds to play him as a left sided midfield player. now is that Imries fault. TsuMirren
did he ever play in his favourite position for us ? NO was used mostly as a left sided midfielder. Seems to me he and Danny did not get on that well. But going by yesterdays game Wee Gowser had a go at him and so did Jim Goodwin looks like they were out to get him. All Imrie did was rip Sean Kelly apart, nothing else! Nothing against Sean, but he's not an experienced pro and will have a lot to learn. How many times he play wide right for Hamilton? I just recall seeing him as a lone striker who we'd boo because he was a bit different and played well against us. We booed him playing for us as he was lazy, moody and totally inconsistent. Furthermore...could he not have said to Danny about trying him on the right? We had games with Teale out, Imrie had obviously never shown anything at training or offered to show. The usual, right trainings over I'm away to mope, attitude. He is now back at a club at his level where being decent will get him legend status. He'll not shine this season, but you can bet some twat will say "look Danny..." if he gets man of the match vs Alloa, Cowdenbeath and Dumbarton. My issue yesterday was that we had Kelly in, a young keeper and no support for Thommo. It certainly wasn't that we'd obviously released Ronaldo or Hulk. Kemp
Wait how did I get assigned to organising a gang bang for the whole first team squad? Does anyone have any idea of the complexity of the logistics here? Im not doing it. Lets stick to f**king celtic when we get the chance
lovestreet
You are obviously lying and not very well,I don't understand people who use these forums to pull people's leg. You were more fun as Tracy,so Faraway said anyway.

Herbie
f**k sake, and for how many did we organise a blowjob from Paris Hilton pre match so he feels on top of the world? The guy was shite, end of story. Can't believe the amount of halfwits on here who seemingly would build the team around a first division nobody just because he played in a friendly match we lost. Thank god Danny Lennon has more sense than you lot! Great post. Thank Christ someone has a bit of savvy around here.
billyg
Nail on the head. And he was judged to be shite and furthermore such a turd of a human being we paid him cash just so he wouldnt show up at training any more. Hopefully we get them in the league cup (of which we are current owners btw) and remind the wee c**t of why he is back playing amateur football. Everyone in Scottish football has known for the last 8 years that Dougie is a wee "turd" , including Danny, yet he still signed him.
aber 87
Where did you spring up from as that’s far too sensible a post for on here , you should ether be a troll or a doom and gloom merchant. Yes you are correct 100% this has nothing to do with Danny and everything to do with the board and the budget , who knows maybe we just have not got the money. Div kept posting that no one is in unless more season tickets which all adds up. We always wait until last minute, to save money and sign players other teams don't want!
aber 87
The crux of this post surely should be the current squad! 12 players out and 4 in (2keepers). Check the squad!!!! No other striker except Thommo at the club, and if he's wasted 6 weeks trying to get TWATT from Celtic...on loan the we are in bother! Reilly is untested as a striker on his own ( if Thommo wasn't playing). No Left Back at the club after losing Dummett and letting Carey go. Kelly is a Centre Half and it showed yesterday. Naismith is a Centre Half also and he is now cover for Vanzy, and did well when he came on! Strength in depth is non existant, I really fear the worst if we don't get about 5 in! 2 left backs, 2 strikers and a central midfield player! ps the fans slating Imrie should remember his best position is wide right (as yesterday). He played his first game for us there v Celtic and was outstanding. He rarely played there again due to Teale playing well. He isn't and never has been a left sided midfield player!!!! He tore us a new one every time he played against us for years and obviously impressed Danny enough to go and sign him. We then play him in a different role and he was rightly frustrated at this. He's not got the best attitude at times but you can understand why he's so pissed off when the only chance he ever got was out of position. class of 76-77
Imrie to be fair didn't get a run in his favoured position but if that meant him or Teale on the right wing then its a no brainer. Teale is on a different level to Imrie who is anything but consistent and has a bad attitude. Imrie has to be the main man in whatever team he's at, and it looks like he'll be that at Morton playing at a level that suits his style ie one good game then disappear for the next 6 or 7. Leicester Saint
Sorry, are you serious? What did we pay? £30k? 6 months wages for an average player. Not a fortune. I don't believe we should've signed him at all though to be honest. I've never thought he was that good a player. But spending that kind of money on a player shouldn't be a big deal. Lex
The Imrie affair was a disaster from start to finish. We never needed cover in that position when we signed him. We never should have paid that money for him or given him that length of contract. When he did come he wasn't used in the correct way. The only right decision made by the management team about Imrie from the moment we became interested in him till now was the one to sack him. Danny messed up badly and cost the club the best part of 100k in the process, he will know that. Let's hope he's learned his lesson.

Murray7
Cheesy, Carey, Teale, McGinn, Barron, Goodwin, McLean have all been played out of position during there time here. They all got on with it and accepted the manager's decision. Imrie, on the other hand, throws the toys out the pram and blames everyone apart from himself for his poor performances. He didn't even look bothered in several games last season, which is the most frustrating thing. He has shown a complete lack of professionalism and shouldn't get any sympathy whatsoever. He has wasted a lot of our clubs' money.
