shull Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) Starting on BBC2 this Friday at 10pm. A six part Series.. I heard today on Radio that it is genuinally hilarious. ( we'll see ) Hope it is as good as Rab C Nesbitt or Still Game. And not as bad as Limmy, Burnistoun or Gary W*nk Commander. http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2015/two-doors-down-casting Edited March 15, 2018 by shull Quote

Hope the script is good, she needs all the help she can get. She was on The One Show tonight, she was predictable. Quote

shull Posted April 1, 2016 Author Report Posted April 1, 2016 Doubt if I will watch the remaining five of the Series. Quote

zurich_allan Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 I've recorded it to watch - watch or delete?? Quote
FTOF Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 (edited) I've recorded it to watch - watch or delete?? Very hit and miss. One character I thought was very good, but there were a couple of others that were very poorly cast IMO.. Watch it and see for yourself. I'll watch it next week to see if it improves. pozbaird Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 I've recorded it to watch - watch or delete?? Delete. My guess is they think they're making a series where viewers will love the ensemble - like The Royle Family, Still Game, or Mrs Browns Boys. It's nothing like those. That would be like comparing Johan Cruyff to Robbie Savage. From now on I will employ a very simple litmus test ahead of watching any of these overtly Scottish 'comedies' - if Jonathan Watson is anywhere near it, ignore it. Quote

Geordie Saint Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 One of the cast, Arabella Weir ("Does my bum look big in this" from the fast show) was on the lottery programme Saturday night. I wasn't paying much attention but when asked about "2 doors down" i heard Paisley mentioned. What's the link? Supposedly set in Paisley/filmed in Paisley. Curious. Yet to watch it but recorded it so will reserve judgement on it. Quote
salmonbuddie Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Don't know about the series but the original was filmed (partly) in Paisley - a mate of mine and his dog were extras, he was out walking it early one day and got roped in. Quote
Drew Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Ach, I was on the second bottle of wine when I watched it, so couldn't offer a hugely considered analysis. It might improve as the characters develop. I didn't think it was as bad as some are suggesting. A few good lines in there (might seem better after a few lines I hear you shout), interspersed with some shite. Better than f**king Miranda and anything with that streak of pish Whitehall in it. FREEDOM! Quote
pozbaird Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Whitehall is dire. Holyrood isnae' much better. Quote
pozbaird Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Far, far superior. New album is braw' too. http://www.3doorsdown.com/splash Quote
