McGinn really hurting, this will stand him, and a few others, in good stead. We are, IMO, about 2-3 players away from having a better team. Gilmour WILL become more important, Patterson showed enough to suggest he's a potential addition to our right side. We already have a strong left side. Feck it, let ourselves down in the 1st game, well deserved point against the English and outdone tonight. faraway saint Posted July 1, 2023 Report Share Posted July 1, 2023 Scotland continue to climb the FIFA World ranking, currently sitting at 30. When Clarke took over we were sitting around 50. He's had his up's and downs, as most managers have, but he's stuck with his belief. Remember the furore when he played Robertson and Tierney? It didn't start too well, 4 defeats from his first 5 games, but he's managed the players and we are where we are.
