And plenty don't get paid, I'm sure that would influence people views on the prolonged protocols.
Again, personal anecdotes are really nothing more than that, as I could quote more people who had next to no serious symptoms, certainly felt well enough to work.
Is this the scheme you are talking about.......................or was it still available in Scotland, who decided to continue with the restrictions?
The Test and Trace Support Payment scheme ended on 24 February 2022.
Not ended in Scotland, the £500 is still available until tomorrow, then it changes to £225 as the guidance advises you to stay at home for 5 days.

You still need a positive PCR test to get these grants.

Jeezo, them Chinese are now physically grabbing people, bundling them into vans and carting them away to god knows where.

Massive over reaction.

Worth remembering that this was posted in early February 2020. Wonder what happened next?

You're not comparing now against......oh wait, you actually are. 🤡

You're beyond help, it's hard to tell if you're just being obnoxious or you're really that dim.

I'm going for a bit of both.

Jings and help ma Boab.

He still doesn’t get it.

Hard to believe, I know.

Big pandemics start from little beginnings. That should be clear. Mutations occur with regularity with no guarantee that the new strain will be less serious.

What is true is that I hope that we are better prepared and able to develop improved vaccines. The protection afforded by the present ones loses effectiveness fairly quickly. Once or twice yearly jabs look to be on the cards for any immuno suppressed or elderly folks.

No it doesn't, it clearly says ESTIMATED not CONFIRMED.

It also indicates that the number of deaths may be more than that figure.

It has been problematic calculating accurate numbers on Covid deaths throughout the pandemic, as the figures are only a fraction of the devastation wrought by the virus.”

…, which strongly suggests that it’s a bigger, deadlier figure than the modest estimate.

Absolutely agree. W.H.O. has a reputation for being “conservative “ with their statistics. Sensible iMO. The bare figures are disturbing enough.

Does it?

It strongly suggests that they have no accurate numbers and this inflated figure is clearly not deaths DUE to covid.

The mention of covid on the death certificate is vastly misleading, which has been well debated over the last 2 years or so.

Almost 15 million people died either from Covid-19 or its impact on overwhelmed health systems in the past two years, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has estimated.

I listened to the report on this on Radio 4 today , they made it clear that the figures are estimated and most likely on the conservative side , however ………

They also said the figures were “excess deaths” and included things like :

People who weren’t covid + but couldn’t access Hospital / Medical services for other conditions such as heart attacks / strokes etc which turned out to be fatal .

People who were already terminally Ill and died during covid even if they had recovered from the  Covid then succumbed to their original illness.

An unknown amount of unreported deaths ( Eh ?!? 🤔)  from places where reporting was poor or non existent

An element of people ,mainly in places like India who fell I’ll and died but never even tested during the pandemic anyway and were buried or otherwise disposed of by family members  !!

So basically , they thought of a number , doubled it, added a wee bit for wiggle room and expect us to take it as gospel despite them making lots of guesses and assumptions. 🙄

Aye, but the trick is in knowing which number they picked. [emoji16]

It has been misleading regarding under reporting. This has been explained to you multiple times & now the WHO are further backing it up.

People who have Covid on their death certificate but Covid isn’t the primary cause is very likely to be less than people that don’t have Covid on their death certificate because they were never tested or died after the 28 day period that many nations used, yet still died due to the virus.

The majority of people who die with Covid, died from Covid. As in, they would still have been alive had they not contracted Covid. The more studies into the pandemic we do, the more this is validated.

Hey, ya thief.

I knew a guy who died due to the effects of smoking - he stopped in the middle of the road to light a fag and got hit by a bus. Smoking kills, folks.
