Howard Hughes in BlueSuedeShoes Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Oh no! He mentioned Belle and Sebastian. Down HHiBSS, DOWN To be honest, I don't really mind Belle & Sebastian. They're a decent enough band who've done some good stuff. I just think that there is no way on earth that they merit the title of "Best Scottish Band Ever" when they're not altogether influential, haven't sold shit loads of albums, no one can mention a song of theirs as being an all time classic or there are simply better bands to come from Scotland. I get the feeling if they hadn't released an album last year then they wouldn't feature so highly. Give it another couple of years and, the way it's going, Franz Ferdinand will be in the top three. If they aren't there already. Quote
