zurich_allan Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 Anyone got any recommendations for a good place to buy budget tyres (new or part worn size 225 70 16) in Renfrewshire. Going to get two new tyres for a 4x4 tomorrow and had a good look online. Cheapest new I can find two from are actually from Halfords (£138 for two). If anyone has had any positive experiences of anywhere else I'd be happy to hear? Quote
Callum Gilhooley Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 I was going to tell you but its late & i`m two tired . Sorry. Quote
HSS Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 The price of tyres has went way up due to inflation. Quote
Callum Gilhooley Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 Paisley tyre & exhaust . Greenhill road. Ask for a price & Tell him you can get it cheaper at Farmers on Inchinnan Road & he`ll lower the price. Former farmers employee !! Quote
zurich_allan Posted July 16, 2013 Author Report Posted July 16, 2013 Cheers for that! Good to get a bit of inside information!! Quote
Eddy Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 I've not bought a new tyre for some time, but I've always found Alan Dean's place in Lacey street really reasonable & helpful - with the added bonus that he's a Saints fan. I think he's retired now, but AFAIK he still owns the place. Quote

Brian1877 Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 RTS near the Buddies Bar. Jackie or Joe. reasonable and good service Quote
aldo_j Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 I found AA tyres online to be cheapest by far with them arranging fitting with Budget at Incle St. also got next day fitting, so good service a big saving compared to going to Budget, or whatever it's called, directly. http://tyres.theaa.com/ Quote

Stuart Dickson Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 black circles is a good site, they arrange fitting at local garages for local people, at a good price I found etyres to be cheaper for my car and the fitting happened on my driveway meaning I didn't have to sit around in a manky waiting room looking on frustrated as some lazy arsed apprentice took forever to work his way round my tyres. These sites are good though. It's about time there was an easy comparison website for tyres. Quote
